Fullstack Developer

We are looking for Backend Developer to join our team. Fieldproxy is the first of its kind product in the space - and we are looking for out of the box thinkers with original thought process and lateral thinking. The code you ship will be used by thousands of users every day helping them get their work done. You will join a young, dynamic and fast-paced environment, work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy.

Responsibilities :

- Backend development with Node.js, MongoDb and Typescript.

- Developing and testing flexible, scalable applications.

- Collaborate with Front end developers to produce optimum output.

- Think out of the box, discuss and implement your own ideas over the phase.

Required skills :

- Strong knowledge in creating RESTFUL APIs(web service)

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools: Git.

- Good knowledge of Docker & Shell scripting

- Basic knowledge in web fundamentals: HTML, CSS

- Experience in DevOps is an added advantage.

As a senior software engineer, you'll be the brain behind crafting, developing, testing, going live and maintaining the system. You are passionate in understanding the business context for features built to drive better customer experience and adoption.

Responsibilities

Participate in code reviews and make sure quality code gets shipped to production.

Design and develop architecture of new features.

Familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from analysis to deployment.

Comply with coding standards and technical design.

Believes in systematic approach to developing the system through clear documentation (flowcharts, layouts, etc) of functionality, address every use case through creative solutions.

Adapts structured coding styles for easy review, testing and maintainability of the code.

Integrate the developed functionality and/or component into a fully functional system.

Ensure unit and integration level verification plan are in place and adheres to great quality of code at all time.

Active participate in troubleshooting, debugging and updating current live system.

Verify user feedback in making system more stable and easy.

Work closely with analysts, designers and other peer developers.

Preparing technical training documents for onboarding new engineers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.

3+ years of experience as Software Engineer or Software Developer or in a relevant role.

Understanding of OOPS concepts, Persistence, Threading.

Proficient in JavaScript and Node JS based frameworks.

Hands-on with SQL.

Knowledgeable in data structures and algorithms.

Experience with open-source projects is preferred.

A background in Engineering with sound oral and written communication skills.

Prior experience with AWS will be a plus.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Own the coding/design of a sub-module
• Review the requirements and provide simple solutions  
• Design the sub-module working with the tech-lead
• Hands-on code the critical parts of the module
• Ensure coding standards, proper design patterns, writing test cases and project mgmt processes are followed
• Mentor the junior programmers
• Peer and junior programmers code review
• Work independently and proactively to deliver production-ready code with minimal guidance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
• 7+ years relevant work experience in software engineering while leading teams.
• Proficiency in more than one modern programming language such as Python (preferred) associated tech stack to write maintainable, scalable, unit-tested code
• Experience in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered
• Should be strong with System Design and Database designing
• Deep understanding of design patterns, optimizations, deployments with Strong object-oriented design skills
