Fullstack Developer (Angular NodeMongoDB)

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the development of our across all phases of software and web development including ideation, prototyping, design, production, and maintenance.
• Work closely with founders and internal/external stakeholders to build products, tools, and services from scratch and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Be actively involved in requirements gathering, customer interviews and the creation of robust product solutions.
• Brainstorm and lay the foundations of the technology and architectural roadmap as well as the development processes.
• Share your technical expertise to help the team make thoughtful and scalable design decisions and identify performance bottlenecks to troubleshoot quickly.
• Manage product development priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Hire and manage a small team of engineers (internal/outsourced).
• Ensure high-performant and responsive web applications and websites.

Skills & Qualities we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 4-7 years of experience as a full-stack developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers) at a fast-paced, preferably early / growth stage start-up.
• Proficient with frontend technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript & ReactJS/VueJS.
• Proficient with backend technologies - Java/NodeJs/Golang/Python/Ruby.
• Hands-on experience working with any cloud AWS/GCP/Azure/DigitalOcean.
• Knowledge of codebases and version control systems (Git).
• Well-versed with SQL database design & RDBMS concepts.
• Strong arithmetic reasoning, logical and analytical thinking skills.
• Strong knowledge of code quality maintenance and performance analysis.

Overall Purpose of the Position:

As a RoR Developer, you'll hold a pivotal position, driving the development and expansion of the portfolio.You will have a strong background in Ruby on Rails development and a proven track record of delivering high-quality web applications. You will work closely with our team of developers, designers, and project managers to build and maintain scalable, robust, and user-friendly software solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Software Development and Implementation: You will be deeply involved in coding and building product features. Following best practices in software development, you will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, contributing to the product's core functionalities and user experience.

• Technical Architecture and Design: You will support the creation of technical architecture and design under the guidance of fellow engineers. Your role will include contributing to discussions on technical decisions, learning from the choices made, and understanding their impact on the product's scalability and performance.

• Quality Assurance and Testing: You will ensure that the work you produce meets quality standards and delivers outcomes. This entails writing clean, efficient code, conducting unit tests to validate individual components, and collaborating with fellow engineers to integrate and test new features. You should also actively participate in code reviews, identify/fix potential bugs or issues, and assist in debugging and troubleshooting to maintain product quality and reliability.

• Data Management and Analysis: You will support data management and analysis efforts by assisting in the integration of data collection mechanisms into our products. Learning how to analyze product usage data, you will contribute insights that can inform future product improvements and features.

• Security and Compliance: You will help ensure that our products meet the highest standards of security and compliance. This will involve participating in security reviews, implementing best practices in coding, and staying informed about relevant regulations affecting our products.

• Scalability and Performance Optimization: You will assist in efforts to ensure our product can scale and perform optimally. This will involve supporting performance testing and contributing to optimizations that enhance the user experience under varying loads.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in professional Web Development
• Proven software development experience in Core PHP, Codeigniter, WordPress; Laravel is a plus.
• Must have 2+ yrs experience in VueJs.
• Experience in ReactJs, NodeJs is a plus.
• Excellent Software Design and Architecting capabilities
• Complete familiarity with client-side scripting and Angular JS, Ember JS , JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
• Complete familiarity and expertise in web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
• Expertise in third party API integration - payment gateways, Storage, Streaming services, etc.
• Complete familiarity and experience working with JSON / XML and REST API structure
• Familiar with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment technologies such as Bitbucket, Jenkins and Git
• AWS/Google Cloud Deployment is a must; Devops capability is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services.
• Sound Database experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL experience
• A sound knowledge of Object-Oriented (OOPS) Programming & Design Pattern.
• Agile and Iterative (TDD) development expertise.

Designing, architecting and developing the backend and APIs, primarily using the MEAN/MERN stack, for products or platforms for end-clients to consume our technology in Infrastructure Monitoring from Satellite Imagery and Robotic Process Automation in Banking and Mortgage Services.

- Interfacing with the customer, tech team members, project managers and other relevant product people for a thorough understanding of the product, use case and business objective, detailed specification and data flow for the requirement, demonstration of the solution and clarification of queries at appropriate times during the life-cycle of the product.

- Preparing test cases, setting up CI/CD and integration with logging and monitoring systems for the products or platforms 

- Seeking customer feedback to continuously optimize the product for great customer experience and high technical performance in areas such as hardware efficiency, latency and throughput

- Delivering a robust backend platform for the products and platforms by incorporating important considerations regarding minimal downtime, high availability, data redundancy, tight security, etc. into the design
