The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, architecting scalable systems, and bringing innovative AI-powered features to life. You will work on a modern, cloud-native stack—leveraging serverless deployment, microservices, and AI/ML integrations to build resilient, high-performance solutions.

What You'll Do

• Backend & Cloud Development
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for Joyful’s Engage and Listen platforms
• Build serverless applications and functions (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or GCP Cloud Functions) for rapid, cost-effective deployments
• Implement robust APIs and data pipelines optimized for performance and reliability
• Ensure security, compliance, and data privacy in all backend services
• AI-Powered Solutions
• Integrate AI/ML models into production workflows to enhance automation, personalization, and analytics
• Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize AI models for real-time and batch processing
• Build features that leverage NLP, sentiment analysis, and predictive analytics for stakeholder communication insights
• Vibe Coding Culture
• Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code that engineers enjoy working with
• Participate in pair programming, peer reviews, and collaborative debugging sessions
• Share best practices and mentor junior engineers to raise the technical bar across the team

• DevOps & Deployment
• Work closely with DevOps teams to optimize serverless deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Ensure observability, monitoring, and alerting systems are in place for all deployed services
• Contribute to cost optimization strategies for serverless architectures
• Collaboration & Problem-Solving
• Partner with product managers, architects, and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis for lasting fixes

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in SaaS or AI-driven products
• Strong expertise in backend development using Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, or Python
• Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or GCP equivalents)
• Solid understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices design patterns
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models into applications
• Familiarity with NLP, speech-to-text, or sentiment analysis APIs is a plus
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments

• 2 years of strong development background building complex applications.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Experience building applications using NodeJS and frameworks such as Express.
• Thorough understanding of React.js and NodeJS including its core principles.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial).
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Strong experience with MongoDB, Postgres
• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Thorough understanding of React.js & popular Workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the development of new highly responsive, web-based user interface
• Construct visualisations that are able to depict vast amounts of data
• Work and collaborate with the rest of the engineering team

• Develop a flexible and well-structured front-end architecture, along with the APIs to support it

Requirements and qualifications

• Experience in Work Frontend Frameworks like Bootstrap, MUI & Antd.
• Must have experience in ES6
• Hands-on experience with REACT REDUX
• Hands-on experience with REDUX SAGA or REDUX ToolKit
• Experience with HTML5 / CSS3
• Experience in creating REST API's based on NODE JS
• GraphQL is a plus
• Must have Git knowledge

• Good interpersonal and communication skill

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Engineering with 5+ experience writing high quality, efficient and maintainable code. Proficiency with Elixir or Erlang. Alternatively experience with at least two of Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, Python,Lisp/Clojure, Scala, Haskel or similar
• Proficiency with Typescript or Javascript using ReactJS, VueJS or similar.
• Good knowledge of SQL databases (PostgresSQL, MSSQL, Oracle or similar)
• Good knowledge of revision control system like GIT, SVN, TFS or similar
• Experience with NoSQL databases like InfluxDB, Prometheus, Elastic Stack, SOLR or similar is a plus.
• In depth knowledge of Linux would be a plus
• Exposure to schematic and layout design and understanding would be a plus.
• Experience working with the energy metering segment is a plus.

• B.Tech or higher in Computer Science from a premier institute. (We are willing to waive this requirement if you are an exceptional programmer).

• You are a strong coder, Love to explore multiple languages and tech stacks; We are language-agnostic, and we love people who like to explore multiple stacks. We’re looking for people who can write clean, effective code.

• Building scalable & performant web systems with clear focus on reusable modules.

• You are comfortable in a high paced environment and can respond to urgent (and at times ambiguous) requests

• Ability to translate fuzzy business problems into technical problems & come up with design, estimates, planning, execution & deliver the solution independently.

Follow Agile development model to incrementally build out the applications with regular reviews with Product

• Knowledge in AWS would be great to have.

• Ability to work with databases, data pipelines.

Job description

Looking for a skilled word press developer responsible for both front-end and back-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security update.

In this role you will:

• Design and build the website's front end.

• Create the website architecture.

• Generate WordPress themes and plugins.

• Trouble shoot content issue.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in web designs.

• Developing eCommerce sites on the Shopify platform. Shopify theme development and customization, private apps, Shopify Liquid templating language, Shopify JS APIs (storefront, AJAX Cart, Sections etc.), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery & Rest API's)
• Responsible for the development of the website on Shopify as per the design handed off by the UI Designers. Knowledge of Installing & Customizing the new Shopify theme.
• Deliver optimized, fast loading, and super responsive website. Understand the requirements from briefs, do thorough research, and based on previous experiences -propose the most suitable solution platform with an ETA.
• Extending Shopify functionalities to the next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
• Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites Creating responsive website designs
• Integrating third-party and platform-supported apps in the sites.
