The Role & Impact

As the Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will be the core technical anchor of the company. You will bridge the gap between our state-of-the-art data science models and enterprise-grade production software. You will directly lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing 8-person software team team consisting of 7 software developers (in-house and full-time contractors), 6 AI/data scientists, 1 product designer, and 5 QA specialists.

This is a hands-on architecture and leadership role. You will own the system design, enforce engineering excellence, and build low-latency, highly available pipelines that handle real-time clinical workflows.

Core Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Scaling: Design and scale robust, event-driven microservices using Node.js and high-performance user interfaces using React.js to support multi-modal AI clinical tools.
• AI & Software Integration: Architect the data pipelines and APIs that wrap, serve, and orchestrate heavy AI models (voice-to-text transcription, NLP, and radiology reporting tools).
• Real-Time Data Streaming: Implement secure, low-latency, full-duplex communication protocols (WebSockets, WebRTC) to stream live audio and heavy medical data feeds seamlessly between the client and backend.
• Engineering Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a hybrid team of 7 software developers and 5 QA engineers. Drive agile sprint planning, set high standards for clean code, and establish robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Production Stability: Ensure high availability, data security (HIPAA/healthcare compliance standards), and performance monitoring for a product already live and actively used in market.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the 6-member AI research team, design resources, and business stakeholders to translate complex clinical product requirements into technical roadmaps.

Required Technical Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager capacity within a fast-paced startup or high-growth tech environment.
• Deep production-level mastery of Node.js (Express, NestJS, or similar) and React.js (including advanced state management like Redux, Context API, or Zustand).
• Proven experience building event-driven architectures and handling asynchronous workloads using message brokers like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS/SNS.
• Strong proficiency with real-time streaming tools, data processing, and protocol management (WebSockets, Socket.io).
• Heavy experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automated testing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of database design, optimization, and scaling (SQL and NoSQL).

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

• Prior experience in the Health-Tech / Med-Tech domain, specifically dealing with medical imaging systems, electronic health records (EHR), or healthcare compliance.
• Familiarity with medical imaging/data standards or frontend medical web viewers (e.g., Cornerstone.js, OHIF Viewer, DICOM web protocols) is a massive plus.

Binding of UI elements to JavaScript object models

Qualification and Work Experience

Qualification: B.E./B. Tech/BCA/MCA

Work experience: 1- 8 years

Minimum 1-8 years of experience in Designs, develops and implementation of web-based Java applications to support business  requirements and projects.

Hands-on experience in Java and J2EE Ecosystem.

Hands-on experience in Spring boot, Hibernate and/or Struts frameworks.

Good familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming, Web services, REST, HTTP.

Strong experience with databases and MySQL.

Experience in Agile Development/Project Management, DevOps CI/CD process is a big plus.

1-6 years minimum in creating complex HTML based solutions

Detail oriented experience as a Web Developer creating Angular/React/Vue based solutions

1-6 years with Node.js and Express js

Ability to work both independently and in collaborative teams to communicate design and build ideas effectively

Experience using asynchronous RESTful services (JSON)

 Knowledge and Hands-on experience on ASP.Net, C#, MS SQL Server, Restful, C# 3.5/4.0, MVC

Desirable Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Solid understanding of best practices in web application development.

Fluent knowledge of the latest HTML/CSS standards and best practices

Required Experience

• Love for Software and the Microsoft tech stack.
• 4+ years of experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft Azure, etc
• Passion for upcoming tech; experience/tinkering with ASP.NET Core, Azure Cosmos DB, etc
• Basic SQL programming 
• Ability to work with client-side scripting languages; newer frameworks and paradigms such as React, Flutter or Angular
• 2+ years of experience developing large/complex application end-to-end

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Web Development is required.
• Strong middle-tier development (API's).
• Should be hands-on with the technical deliverables.
• Very strong software engineering - design, development and testing, experience.
• Good understanding of design / architectural patterns and automation platforms.
