Job Description

This is a remote position.

Experience Level​

This role is ideal for engineers with 3–15 years of experience and a strong background in building secure, scalable platforms.

We are looking for hands-on DevOps and Backend Engineers with real-world experience in handling production incidents, distributed systems, and modern infrastructure challenges.

What You’ll Do as a Software Craftsperson

• Design and document real-world DevOps and backend scenarios based on production incidents such as outages, scaling challenges, and secure deployments
• Translate real engineering experiences into benchmark tasks that contribute to training next-generation AI systems
• Contribute to building secure, scalable, Kubernetes-native architectures across modern infrastructure environments
• Work across critical engineering domains including CI/CD pipelines, observability, identity & access management, infrastructure-as-code, and backend services
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and simulate realistic engineering workflows and system behaviors
• Apply practical engineering judgment to model distributed systems challenges and improve system resilience and reliability

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

5–15 years of experience in DevOps and Backend Engineering with a strong foundation in building secure, scalable systems.

Strong hands-on expertise in DevOps and backend technologies including:

• Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
• Tools such as k9s, k3s (GitLab CI preferred)
• Backend technologies such as Go, Python, or Java
• Experience with Docker, gRPC, and Kubernetes-native services

Demonstrated experience working with secure, offline or air-gapped deployments (highly preferred)

Familiarity with distributed systems and backend architecture, with exposure to ML or distributed pipelines being a plus.

Hands-on experience across multiple core functional areas, with exposure to at least five of the following:

• Identity & Access Management
• Observability (Prometheus + Grafana)
• CI/CD Pipelines
• Keycloak
• GitLab CI
• Terraform OSS
• Kubernetes ecosystem tools

Strong problem-solving ability with real-world experience in handling production systems, incidents, and infrastructure challenges

Ability to work across multiple layers of the stack, from infrastructure to backend services, while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security

We are looking for a MERN Stack Developer with 2+ years of real-world experience who thinks beyond CRUD APIs and UI screens. This role is for someone who understands how full-stack systems are designed, cares about scalability, performance, security, and clean architecture, and takes ownership of features end-to-end.

We value ownership, speed, clean code, and smart problem-solving. If you enjoy building products from scratch, thinking in systems, and shipping meaningful features—not just “finishing tasks”—this role is for you.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js
• Build scalable and maintainable backend APIs with proper validation, error handling, and security
• Develop clean, reusable, and performant React components
• Design database schemas and optimize queries for performance and scalability
• Translate product and business requirements into solid technical solutions
• Design frontend and backend architecture that can scale as the product grows
• Handle authentication, authorization, roles, and permissions
• Work with async operations, background jobs, and API integrations
• Manage application state properly (React state, context, or state libraries)
• Handle edge cases: loading, failure states, retries, and fallbacks
• Write clean, readable, and well-structured JavaScript / TypeScript code

✅ Qualifications Must Have

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with the MERN stack
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, including OOP concepts
• Solid experience with Node.js & Express
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, schema design, indexing, and aggregation
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Strong understanding of async/await, promises, event loop
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design (Tailwind / Bootstrap preferred)
• Experience with React hooks, component lifecycle, and state management
• Use React performance optimizations such as: React.memo useCallback, useMemo
• Implement code splitting and lazy loading using dynamic imports
• Work on or understand micro-frontend architecture and module federation
• Experience handling authentication (JWT, sessions, OAuth)
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and basic CI/CD concepts
• Exposure to real production issues (performance, bugs, scaling, failures, debugging)

Good to Have (Big Plus)

• Knowledge of Next.js or server-side rendering concepts
• Experience with Redis, queues (kafka, rabbitmq), or background jobs
• Experience with Docker, cloud deployments, or Nginx
• Understanding of performance tuning and lazy loading
• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

Code, test and debug programs according to specifications.

Build new and modifying existing applications.

Develop software prototypes.

Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role

Experience developing desktop and mobile applications

Familiarity with common stacks

The Fullstack Lead should excel in a collaborative, results-driven culture and be able to influence engineers, stakeholders, and leadership on mobile strategies & technologies.

Major Responsibilities:

• Incumbent will be architecting our mypay Portal products and choosing the best technologies, components and subsystems on different server side tech.
• Driving innovations in the product constantly to remain ahead of the curve.
• Serve as a thought leader and mentor on technical, architectural, design and related issues.
• Proactively identify architectural weaknesses and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to solve complex problems and build products spanning across multiple teams to deliver end-to-end products & features.
• Estimates efforts, identifies risks, devises and meets project schedules.
• Provide functional, design, and code reviews in related areas of expertise with-in team and cross-team.

Qualifications.

• 5+ Years relevant software development experience, with a Full Stack profile (experience in front-end, back-end, integration, cloud automation and orchestration)
• proficient in Functional & Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns with expertise in various cloud-native technologies (MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Graph QL, etc).
• Knowledge of Nodejs, Javascripts and other programming languages and frameworks is must.
• Experience using Cloud Native CI/CD tools (aws Pipelines/ aws codebuild).
• Experience in test driven development & writing of unit and integration tests is a must
• Demonstrated ability of design and development of applications/ products utilizing a variety of architecture principles, including a microservices serverless
• Experience working in agile teams with demonstrated application of the principles.
• Demonstrable proficiency in developing complex JavaScript applications.
• Must be a self-starter who can work well with minimal guidance and in a fluid environment.
