Job Description – Full Stack Developer (React + Node.js)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on expertise in React and Node.js to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have solid experience building scalable applications, working with production systems, and collaborating in high-performance tech environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React and Node.js.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following OOP/FP and SOLID principles.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (preferably GCP or AWS).
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability in production systems.
• Utilize containerization tools like Docker for efficient development and deployment workflows.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs, including AI APIs and tools.
• Contribute to improving development processes, documentation, and best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with React.js (frontend).
• Solid hands-on experience with Node.js (backend).
• Good understanding of relational databases: PostgreSQL / MySQL.
• Experience working in production environments and debugging live systems.
• Strong understanding of OOP or Functional Programming, and clean coding standards.
• Knowledge of Docker or other containerization tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Golang or Elixir.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Redis, etc.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Previous experience working with AI APIs or machine learning tools.

Technical Lead

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 9+ years in software development with a proven track record of delivering scalable applications.
• Leadership Skills: 4+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, demonstrating strong mentoring abilities.
• Technical Lead must Lead and mentor a team of software developers and validation engineers.
• Technical Skills: Technical Lead must have Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, React js, SQL, MySQL, Javascript, Web API are required .NET, or Python, along with frameworks and tools used in software development.
• Technical Lead must have General working knowledge of Selenium to support current business automation tools and future automation requirements.
• General working knowledge of PHP desired to support current legacy applications which are on the roadmap for future modernization.
• Technical Lead must have Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban or similar).
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git or similar).
• Development Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities that enable the identification of complex technical issues.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Innovation: A passion for technology and innovation, with a keen interest in exploring new technologies to find the best solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

1. WordPress Theme and Plugin Development:

• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins according to project requirements.
• Ensure the compatibility and responsiveness of websites across various devices.

1. Website Design and Layout:

• Collaborate with designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly website designs.
• Optimize website layout for maximum usability and user experience.

1. Content Management:

• Set up and manage content within WordPress, ensuring it is well-structured and easily maintainable.
• Provide training and support to clients on content management best practices.

1. Website Maintenance and Updates:

• Perform regular updates and maintenance tasks on existing WordPress websites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance.

1. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

• Work closely with designers, UI/UX specialists, and other developers to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of web development projects.

1. Customization and Integration:

• Implement custom functionalities and integrations based on client requirements.
• Ensure seamless integration with third-party APIs and services.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web development technologies.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, best practices, and coding standards.
• Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not mandatory):

• Experience with e-commerce platforms, especially WooCommerce.
• Knowledge of web security best practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques.

The Role Expectation

• You will play a key role in the development of the core product, working directly with the Business team on realizing their needs and translating it into the product.
• You will be involved in the overall design, architecture and development of the application, maintaining quality and ensuring performance and compliance to software standards and guidelines
• You will adhere to the best practises of the Agile & TDD
• You will collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design, prioritise and launch new features.
• You will take ownership for organising code and maintain its integrity at all points in time.
• You will be responsible for understanding and implementing security and data protection best practices.

You Have

• A sound knowledge of Python, hands-on experience in using Django/Flask etc., design patterns and application design
• Experience with database architectures like NoSQL, RDBMS. Eg: MongoDB/ Cassandra / Couchbase / MySQL
• A good understanding of message queues mechanisms like Redis/RabitMQ (or similar)
• Knowledge of python web crawling frameworks like Scrapy & Frontera
• Hands on experience with CI/CD
• Experience in using Git for source code management & Jira

Good to Have

• Strong Linux skills, knowledge of building large scale, multi-threaded applications and experience in designing and building RESTful web services,
• Building API services with GraphQL
• Skills in configuring and implementing Hadoop/HDFS, Elasticsearch and HBase or knowledge of any graph databases
• Prior experience in architecting large scale distributed systems and experience with cloud deployments on AWS/Azure
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Domain knowledge in the financial/data space; any external, relevant certifications.
