KEY QUALIFICATIONS

·         BE/BTech in Computer Science or related field. 

·         Minimum 3+ years of UI/Frontend development and a strong understanding of building complex layouts using JavaScript, CSS and HTML.

KEY SKILLS

·         Strong computer system analysis and design skills in current methodologies and patterns including vanilla JavaScript, some experience with ReactJS, Redux, React Native, Webpack, and Typescript or similar library/tools.

·         Obsessed with WPO (Web Performance Optimization) and web/mobile performance analysis.

·         Experienced with web standards and protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and socket APIs in general.

·         Familiar with web security, SEO, accessibility and internationalization.

1. Lead the development of frontend architecture and implement scalable, maintainable, and

high-performance web applications.

2. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure adherence to best

practices and coding standards.

3. Mentor and guide junior frontend developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and

improvement.

4. Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, and integrate new

solutions as appropriate.

5. Coordinate with the project management team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality frontend

components and features.

6. Contribute to the development of reusable components, tools, and libraries to improve team productivity

and code maintainability.

We’re looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to join our growing engineering team to help build and maintain HappyFox’s product offerings.

What you can expect as a Frontend Engineer at HappyFox:

• You will implement product features by writing clean, robust, reusable code with tests.
• You’ll work alongside the Product, Design, and, Backend Engineering teams to iterate on new features within HappyFox products.
• You'll help improve the overall experience of our product by improving the quality of the front-end features.
• You’ll help identify areas of improvement in the codebase and initiate projects to make HappyFox better.
• You’ll contribute to and follow our workflow process, alongside the rest of the Engineering team.

• Develop a flexible and well-structured front-end architecture, along with the APIs to support it

We are looking for a React.js Developer. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimising components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Good understanding of React.js and its principles
• Good understanding of state management libraries like Redux
• Good understanding of newer specifications of EcmaScript like ES6 and ES7
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorisation mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Familiarity with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Good understanding of Git

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 3 years experience in web development.
• Experience with HTML5 and CSS
• Experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, ES6
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux
• Experience working with Git
• Good written and verbal English skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal departments, team members and partners
• Ability to effectively plan and organise
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision

Would be a plus:

• Experience in test automation and test-driven development (Jest, Enzyme)
• Experience with NodeJS and GraphQL
• Knowledge of PWA
• Familiarity with JIRA or any other project management tool
• Experience with AWS/EC2, or other cloud services
