Frontend Developer

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain frontend components using AEM Sites.

· Integrate AEM with React/Angular for enhanced user interfaces.

· Work with AEM templates, components, dialogs, and client libraries.

· Collaborate with backend AEM developers and designers to implement dynamic and responsive web features.

· Ensure code quality through unit testing and best practices.

· Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.

· Support AEM content authors with technical implementation and troubleshooting.

What You’ll Bring:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

· Proven experience delivering high-quality web applications.

Mandatory Skills:

· 3+ years of frontend development experience with React.js or Angular.

· 2+ years of experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

· Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

· Experience with AEM client libraries, Sightly (HTL), Sling models, and component development.

· Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.

· Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.

· Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Expertise level knowledge of  HTML5 : Comprehensive knowledge of tags, HTML API (Geo, Storage, More APIs), Canvas APIs, META Tags and Semantic markup 
• Expertise level knowledge of CSS3 : CSS Object Model, Selectors & Hierarchy, Layouts, Responsive Designs, Build Tools, SASS / SCSS & Flexbox
• Expertise level knowledge of ES6: Object-Oriented programming principles,  DOM Selectors, Event Handlers, Jquery - Functions, Callbacks, Promises, Debugging tools & approach
• Experience in creating build scripts from scratch using Webpack & Gulp with relevant plugins to improve DevOps
• Ability to independently create technical design of an Epic utilising the knowledge of JavaScript design patterns and CSS best practices
• Experience in reviewing the technical design and implementation of other frontend team members
• Ability to Suggest better alternatives to existing solutions for improving the solution quality (both functional and non-functional problems) 
• Ability to coach and line-manage senior frontend engineers, to help them grow their career
• Experience in Typescript and contemporary FE development frameworks like ReactJS, Angular & VueJS is preferred

QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS

• 8+ years of industry experience.
• Analytic and positive mindset with a personable and professional approach.
• Sharp attention to detail and a passion for new technology.
• Professional written and verbal communication.

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering
• A background in front-end web development and/or API development.
• Demonstrated competency in one or more of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, React/Redux, AngularJS,  or comparable JavaScript MVC framework.
• Demonstrated competency in one or more of the following client-side build tool: Webpack, gulp, jspm
• Have a good understanding of what good UX and UI design are.
• Experienced in client-side framework/technologies before such as: React, AngularJS, jQuery, HTML, CSS
• Experienced in using client-side build tools such as gulp, WebPack, JSPM, NodeJS, and other CLI is a plus
• Understand how to get good performance on UI implementation (time to interaction, bundling, and splitting resources)
• Some previous work portfolios would be great.
• Good knowledge of how to use source control systems like git and GitHub.

In this role you will

• Be a part of a small UI team and will work closely with the UXdesigner and product manager to shape the product design.
• Build web UI components for a cloud-native SaaS product.
• Drive clear requirements for the backend APIs working closely withthe backend engineers.
• Focus on quality and velocity by developing appropriate tests.

Requirements

• Highly motivated self-starter with a builder’s mindset.
• 5+ years of web UI development experience.
• Highly skilled in JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Deep knowledge and experience of REST APIs.

Preferred: experience with frameworks such as React
