We are a full-stack conversational AI company from building products to delivering bots for our clients. We are looking for a front-end engineer who can help us build the next generation of enterprise-grade conversational AI platform.

What will you do every day?

As a front-end tech lead you will be responsible for building the Haptik platform which is used by people across the globe. You will be working closely with the product, design and platform team on a day to day basis and be responsible for the look and feel of the product. While you know how to work hard, you also know how to have fun at work and make friends with your colleagues.

Ok, you're sold, but what are we looking for in the perfect candidate?

- Have a keen eye for detail and passionate about UI and UX

- Has worked with a team of FE engineers to set tech processes and standards.

- Has experience in mentoring junior engineers.

- Have a solid understanding of front-end technologies especially React

- Build, maintain and gate-keep the platform tools

- Work closely with the PM and designers to deliver high-quality features

- Work closely with the backend engineers to understand the Interkat Platform and build for scale

- High-level estimating and scoping/breaking down of tasks

- Document features to make them easily understandable to clients

- Participate in code reviews, automated and functional testing, and other aspects of our quality assurance process

- Use and promote standard good coding practices

- Fully participate in a scrum-based, agile development team

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices

- Work experience around optimizing build artifacts and performance monitoring

- Following security standards when using cookies/others to store user information etc.

Requirements :

- 5+ years of experience working on React.js

- Prior experience of leading/mentoring a team is a plus

- Knowledge of flux and redux

- Must have extensive experience working on Javascript, HTML, CSS, animations and UI/UX principles.

- Knowledge of backend technologies is a plus

- Good attention to detail, pixel perfect designs

- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent

- Good Communication skills

- Hustler with the passion for writing good code

- Team player

- Must have experience in working in an agile environment, exposure to tools like Jira would be an added benefit.

Requirements is such a strong word. We don't necessarily expect to find a candidate that has done everything listed, but you should be able to make a credible case that you've done most of it and are ready for the challenge of adding some new things to your resume.

We are looking for a good JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (Redux)
• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)

What you can expect as a Senior Frontend Engineer at HappyFox:

• You will consistently ship features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members.

• You have 5+ years of relevant professional experience in building web applications with javascript frameworks like Ember.js or React.js.
• You have a sound knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• You are comfortable working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.

• Designing, building, prototyping, developing and implementing single-page responsive web applications for our cloud platform.
• Involved in decision making for design and technical aspects for modular and component-based architectures.
• Developing application code, services, user interfaces, user experience and unit tests.
• Ensuring high performance and responsive applications with state-of-the-art user experience.
• Experimenting with new technologies and working with integrated web-applications.
• Collaborating and iterating with the Product Managers, UI/UX and Backend teams to define, design, build, extend products and features.

• You have previously worked for a minimum of 3 years in a technical environment contributing as a programmer.
• You have proven expertise in the JavaScript ecosystem and used frameworks like ReactJS, Vue. Preference would be given to reactjs.
• You have exposure to Golang, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL and Firebase.
• You must have strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Develop reusable, maintainable cross-platform HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end web application components while adhering to web and team standards.
• Write unit tests to provide sufficient testing coverage for each developed component.
• Constantly review and improve frontend performance of the web application.
• Work with creative and business partners to understand, build and adjust web application functionality and visual presentation to support business goals.
• Work with server-side, infrastructure, and 3rd party technology partners to build, integrate and deploy web application functionality and visual presentation to support business goals.
• Work with project technical lead and/or FE architect to create technical designs and implementation plans.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail throughout the development process.
• Remain curious and current with new developments in the FE web development industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated 3-5 years of practical front-end web development experience.
• Expertise in writing and testing valid, web standards-based HTML, CSS, JS.
• Fluent in fundamentals of computer science such as:
• Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Coding Patterns.
• Deep understanding and experience with the following standards and technologies is essential:
• DOM, JSON, AJAX, HTML5 Video, WCAG 2.0 AA, Git.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Sample portfolio (code or public-facing web build) is a plus.
• Experience working for high-end brands or another environment with very high standards for the presentation layer is a plus; Ecommerce experience is a plus
