Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field/equivalent practical experience
• Software development experience coding in a general-purpose programming language
• Experience building complex Android applications using Kotlin/Java/Flutter with Android Software Development Kit (SDK) and other frameworks
• Experience building maintainable, scalable, and testable code bases--including API design and unit testing techniques
• Experience with multithreading programming and mobile memory management

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field/equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years industry experience developing Android mobile apps released to the Google Play app store 
• Experience with both native and hybrid Android app development
• Experience with defining and implementing extensible app architectures to allow future maintainability and new features development
• Work experience with global, cross-functional development & design teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of agile development processes

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Android

• Strong understanding of the OOPS concept.
• Working experience in Java and Kotlin language. (Must)
• Knowledge of Offline Sync, Multithreading, Realm/Room/SQLLite databases, Live data, Socket Programming. (Must)
• Familiar with Android Jetpack components (Must)
• Idea/Experience of MVC/MVVM and MVP
• At least 1 live application on Playstore. (Must)

Good to have

• Idea/experience in RxJava, RxKotlin

Your major responsibility is helping us build a dynamic mobile application that will work with our backend to provide simple solutions for our users. You will be building components that will be integral for our platform using Native Android and work with files like SVG, PNG and JPEG. You should have a sound understanding of object-oriented programming. From your past experience, you are expected to give input in building the application and work with the team to find the best solutions. You will need to create unit tests for your work as we are a test-driven development team.

## Technical Background
* 1-2+ year of development experience with Android.
* Some experience with HTML, SVG and CSS.
* Experience with Test Driven Development and creating automated unit test using JUnit.
* Able to create a rich UI with thoughtful inputs in UX.
* Fluent in Object-Oriented programming.
* Aware of Component-Based design and Dependency Injection pattern.
