Position Overview:

As an Android Developer, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on developing, testing, and maintaining Android applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in transforming ideas into functional and user-friendly applications that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

● Participate in the entire application development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

● Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.

● Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.

● Assist in maintaining code repositories and version control using tools like Git.

● Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration of design elements and optimal user experience.

Qualifications:

●     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

●     Strong passion for mobile app development and a genuine interest in the Android platform.

●     Solid understanding of Java and/or Kotlin programming languages.

●     Basic knowledge of Android application architecture and components (Activities, Fragments, Services, etc.).

●     Familiarity with development tools and frameworks such as Android Studio and Gradle.

●     Adept problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

●     Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

●     Prior experience with personal or academic Android projects is a plus.

●     Knowledge of UI/UX principles and design patterns is a bonus.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Performance Indicators:

Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

1. Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable Java code.
2. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
3. Help in maintaining code quality, organization, and automatization.
4. Participating with the technical team in the execution of projects
5. Preparing the project documentation on its completion.
6. Analyzing defects and fixing it.
7. Maintaining On-time delivery of the projects.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, OOP Design, JSON, Retrofit, Firebase
2. Strong knowledge of Android SDK & different versions of Android.
3. Application development paradigms, memory management, and multi-threading
4. Comprehensive understanding of Android application architecture, Activities, Services, Intents, Content Providers and Notifications, Fragments, Application Development life-cycle, Web Apps, and Web View.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with clients at all levels and understand requirements carefully.
6. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
7. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
8. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
9. Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
10. A knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
11. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
12. Excellent attention to detail.
13. Good troubleshooting skills.
14. Basic knowledge of MVVM architecture

Should have min 2+ years of Hands-on experience in React Native development.

• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux
• Experience with JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, HTML5 and front-end languages.
• Good understanding of Android/ iOS design guidelines, SDK.
• Exposure to building React Native components in native iOS and Android.
• Solve complex technical, scalability or performance challenges.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, Gitlab.

Summary of role:

As a Developer, you will be working alongside our product team in the conceptualization, design and development of app and frontend components. You will be doing the following on the job

• Write clean, manageable code and maintain proper documentation
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Developing and implementing highly-responsive user interface components using Android material design concepts
• Writing application interface codes using Java, Android
• Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
• Monitoring and improving front-end performance.

Key Responsibilities of this Role:

• At least three years of production level experience in working with native Android using Kotlin, Java
• Bachelors in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience) is preferred
• Understanding of key design principles.
• At least one Android app developed by you must be live
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
• In-depth knowledge and passion for Java, Kotlin, CSS, HTML, OOPs and front-end languages
• If you have worked on an app (on Android) used by 100K+ users, you will be preferred.

Mandatory: Hands on experience working with Java or Kotlin. Very strong logical skills. Good hold on operating system concepts and data structure. Experience with web services , SQL Lite , camera kit , image caching concepts, keychain , past experience working with one of the design patterns like MVC / MVVM / MVP , network check implementation.

Good to have:  Rx-Swift experience , video / image filter experience , media player usage , complex UX effects , couch-db , RealM.Knowledge of GIT management , Continuous Integration and Continuous Development practices.
