Strong Senior / Lead Software Engineer profile

Mandatory (Experience 1) - Must have Min 6 YOE in Software development, wherein 1-2 Yrs as Senior or Lead Role.

Mandatory (Experience 2) - Must have experience with Python + Django / Flask or similar framework

Mandatory (Experience 3) - Must have experience with Relational Databases (like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle etc)

Mandatory (Experience 4) - Must have good experience in Micro Services or Distributed System frameworks(eg, Kafka, Google pub / Sub, AWS SNS, Azure Service Bus) or Message brokers(eg,RabbitMQ)

Mandatory (Location) - Candidate must be from Bengaluru

Mandatory (Company) - Product / Start-up companies only

Mandatory (Stability) - Should have worked for at least 2 years in 1 Company in last 3 years..

• You will design and develop large scale distributed services.
• You will analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, stability, and security of the platform as a whole.
• You will act as the primary owner of one or more components while driving innovation in your area of ownership.
• You will proactively research & evaluate new tools, technologies, and techniques to improve the value of the system.
• You will work with engineering leadership in solving and architecting solutions for challenging or complex development issues.
• You will work independently and handle dependencies with very minimal oversight.
• You will take initiatives in developing and maintaining integrations of best practices within the back-end.
• You will help identify systemic issues, performance bottlenecks and work on design/architect improvements.

• You have 2+ years of experience in product software development.
• You have designed and scaled up the system.
• You have a strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• You are an incessant problem solver and tougher the problem gets, more fun you have.
• You have strong command in any one or more of the following languages: Python.
• You understand the business impact of your decisions.

What will you do:

You will independently work on designing and developing solutions that solve customer’s business problems. You will own the assigned problem statements, evaluate multiple technical approaches and use design-thinking to take independent decisions while implementing the solution. You will also guide junior members of the team and participate in code and design review process.

Who should apply:

You have -

• a graduate degree in BE, BTech, MTech, MCA from a reputed institute
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in programming Core Java 8, Spring Boot, Spring Rest Template, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring JDBC Template
• Good to Have experience/knowledge on Docker, Oracle, MongoDB, Quartz Scheduler, Shell scripting
• Working experience with Windows, Linux environments

Your core responsibilities:

• Create elegant, efficient and maintainable software to support and extend our current products.
• Solve complex architectural challenges when implementing new features.
• Integrate with databases, file systems, cloud services when delivering scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and fix reported customer issues, delivering software patches as needed.
• Assisting in making design decisions based on performance, scalability, security, and future expansion.
• Communicating and collaborating with management, product, QA teams.

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
• Proficiency in web development using any of the languages: PHP, Python, Java, NodeJS or Golang.
• Should possess a solid grasp of object-oriented programming, system architecture & design, databases, development, and testing methodologies.
• Good in Design (HLD and LLD).
• Good in Database schema design.
• Good to have experience with AWS or Google Cloud or Azure and serverless architecture.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Track record of delivering successful products as an engineer.
• Experience with large applications of some scale will be a plus.
• Ability to deep dive, understand & improve the legacy code.
• Domain knowledge of supply chain & retail industry is a plus.

• 3 + years expertise in Python 3.7, Django 2 (or Django 3).
