Job description

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong experience in Backend Engineering, Microservices, and Distributed Systems
• Deep hands-on expertise in Java and Node.js development 
• Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services 
• Strong understanding of OOP, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Software Design Principles 
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases 
• Experience with system design, scalability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization
• Experience with Redis, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and production support
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with Spring Boot, TypeScript, NestJS, Kafka, and AI-assisted coding tools is preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, microservices, and APIs
• Build high-performance RESTful and event-driven applications
• Own system design, data models, integrations, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver business solutions
• Write clean, secure, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and operational practices
• Optimize application performance, database efficiency, and system scalability
• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical decision-making
• Implement security best practices and engineering standards
• Support platform modernization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Leverage modern development tools and AI-assisted coding practices to improve productivity
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable backend solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fields

• Understand the requirement and convert that into API design.
• Write the code independently 
• Unit testing and bug fixing
• Write code with standards and conventions and follow best practices.
• Know how to engineer a full-fledged system and not just write code to make things work.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies, scrum.
• Should be able to guide juniors.
• Communication with clients for requirement understanding.
• Code Merging and deployment

• REST APIs in Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• MySQL Database, complex SQL queries (like joining multiple tables)
• Spring Security, JWT Tokens
• Third party Integration
• Unix basic commands
• Apache Tomcat, Deployment of War in Unix environment.
• Jira or any other Issue/Task tracking systems.

Key roles:

·       Develop backend application with clean code practices foe the application

·       Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic

·       Troubleshoot and debug application

·       Gather and address technical and design requirements

·       Build reusable code and libraries for future user-facing

·       Communicate with other third-party team for collaborations

Skillset:

·       Core Java - Hands on experience with Jdk 11 and above

·       Experience with code hosting and collaboration tools like Bitbucket/Github/GitLab

·       Microservice architecture - Rest API calls, inter-service exception handling

·       Non-relational DB - MongoDB basic DB commands to insert, update, delete, find records and Indexing

·       Springboot framework - Spring Data JPA, ORM

·       Event driven architecture - Kafka

·       Tools like Postman, Jenkins, Doppler, IDE, MongoDB atlas

Qualifications:

·       UG: B.Tech/B.E. in Any Specialization, B.Sc in Any Specialization, BCA in Any Specialization

·       PG: Any Postgraduate

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience in software product development and delivery.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering from a reputed institute(preferably IITs, NITs, or other top engineering institutes).
• Strong grasp of CS fundamentals, algorithms and excellent problem solving abilities.
• All experience should be from good product development or e-commerce background.
• Must have shown good stability in all your previous associations.
• Have strong backend knowledge and cloud development exposure.
• Expert at Java, Spring boot, Hibernate, REST API development.
• Worked with at least 1 RDBMS (Mysql preferred). NoSql is a plus.
• Have used or are very hands-on with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle/Ant, Kafka, GIT/bitbucket in a very agile work place.
• Writing high quality code which is made better by unit tests and integration tests is how you work.
• Comfortable with exploring proven open source tech stack like Grafana, Kibana, Jira, Prometheus, caches like Redis/Memcached, task queues like celery, to name a few.
• Knowledge of test driven development and AWS tech stack will be a good plus.
