Backend Engineer

About the role:

You will own a functional area - from product conception to its delivery to customers. You are expected to design and code independently in multiple tech components related to your functional area. You must also develop a deep understanding of non-functional requirements, such as reliability and availability, scale, horizontal scalability, etc. over time to make tech stack decisions accordingly. You are expected to actively mentor junior engineers. You own

the codebase quality.

What you’ll need

• B.Tech or M.Tech equivalent with at least 3 years of experience
• Deep expertise in at least one programming language & tech stack.
• Strong object-oriented design skills, ability to apply design patterns, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces
• Experience in building data-driven web application design and development is a plus
• Good understanding of multiple tech solutions and ability to pick the correct one for the given situation
• Prior work experience in an agile environment or continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI or CD)
• Ability and experience in designing high-level software designs of the scalable system, taking NFR (non-functional requirement) into consideration

ey Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java (Spring Boot).
• Implement RESTful APIs and ensure integration with front-end and third-party services.
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / AWS CodePipeline) for deployment automation.
• Implement security, scalability, and high availability best practices in microservice architecture.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues using AWS CloudWatch / ELK / Prometheus & Grafana.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and service discovery / communication patterns (Eureka, Feign, Ribbon, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Proficient in RDBMS / NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps best practices.
• Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) is a plus.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

A coding enthusiast who loves writing elegant code and developing software systems.

As a senior java developer, you will be a part of the core product development team that is responsible for building high-performant components of the TAPPP platform.

Your responsibility:

• You will be responsible for designing, coding, reviewing, testing, and bug-fixing different modules of the software product that needs to work seamlessly across different environments.
• Write production-quality code in Java, J2EE, and Spring
• You will work in an agile team, working on the TAPPP revolutionary platform. You‘ll be using cutting-edge solutions (Spring Boot, Docker, Kafka, Redis, Continuous Delivery) for creating and maintaining high-load distributed services that are part of our messaging platform.

Mandatory technical skills:
