We're seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a senior backend engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable backends for the products we build at NonStop. This includes APIs, databases, and server-side logic.

Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and deploy backend systems, including APIs, databases, and server-side logic

● Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards and best practices

● Code Quality: Ensure code quality through code reviews, adherence to best practices, and continuous improvement

● Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members, fostering growth and innovation

● Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to align technical goals with business objectives

Requirements:

● At least 7+ years of experience building scalable and reliable backend systems

● Strong expertise in NodeJS/NestJS, Express, PostgreSQL

● Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems

● Proficiency in database design (SQL and NoSQL)

● Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines

● Deep understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms

● Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes

● Exceptional communication and leadership skills

● Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns

● Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and methodologies

● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

● Strong communication skills and ability to effectively lead and maintain a collaborative team environment

Job Description:

1. Experience in Core Java, Spring Boot.
2. Experience in microservices.
3. Extensive experience in developing enterprise-scale systems for global organization. Should possess good architectural knowledge and be aware of enterprise application design patterns.
4. Should be able to analyze, design, develop and test complex, low-latency client-facing applications.
5. Good development experience with RDBMS in SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle or DB2
6. Good knowledge of multi-threading
7. Basic working knowledge of Unix/Linux
8. Excellent problem solving and coding skills in Java
9. Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
10. Should be able to express their design ideas and thoughts.

Key Skills and Requirements

· Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js and Express.js

· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science OR in related field B.sc - IT/ BCA /MCA/B.Tech/M.Tech

· Programming experience in Web Application development with Node.js and Express.js

· Must have experience in JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js or have extensive exposure in any MVC framework

· Expert in MySQL and Store Procedures

· Knowledge of REST API / Web API protocol

· Understanding HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, JSON, OOPs well enough

· Good to have: React Js.

· Strong coding skills, good analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to write clear, concise, well-structured, and well-organized code

· Experience with third-party libraries and APIs(Zoho, Leadsquared, Knowlarity, Exotel, LCode, Karza, Google API, DIGIO, etc)

· Ability to identify weaknesses in existing code and improve it

· A plus if you have any experience with Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket.

About The Role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Azodha, you’ll play a key role in architecting, solutioning and driving development of our AI led interoperable digital enablement platform.You will work closely with the founder/CEO to refine the product vision, drive product innovation, delivery and grow with a strong technical team.

What You’ll Do:

* Technical Excellence: Design, develop, and scale backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, including REST and GraphQL APIs. Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing.

* Data Management and Integrity: Work with Prisma or TypeORM, and relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL

* Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends in backend development, incorporating new technologies where appropriate. Drive innovation and efficiency within the team

* Utilize ORMs such as Prisma or TypeORM to interact with database and ensure data integrity.

* Follow Agile sprint methodology for development.

* Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.

* Optimize API performance for optimal user experiences.

* Participate in the entire development lifecycle, from initial planning , design and maintenance 

* Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure system stability.

* Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high quality releases.

* Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, offering technical expertise and constructive feedback.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, software Engineering, or a related field.

* 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript.

* Experience working on Postgres or My SQL.

* Proficiency in TypeScript and its application in Node.js

* Experience with ORM such as Prisma or TypeORM.

* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
