Summary/Objective:

We are seeking an experienced Automation QA (Quality Assurance) professional to join our team in Indore. As an Automation QA, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with the development team to identify areas for automation and implement efficient testing strategies.

Responsibilities/Duties:

1.     Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and other automation tools.

2.     Execute automated test suites to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability across different platforms and environments.

3.     Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, identify test scenarios, and develop comprehensive test plans.

4.     Collaborate with developers to ensure that test cases are integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

5.     Analyze test results and report defects in a clear and concise manner, providing detailed information to facilitate debugging and resolution.

6.     Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to provide QA input and feedback.

7.     Continuously research and evaluate new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

8.     Contribute to the development and maintenance of QA documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• 2 to 3 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in a software development environment.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• ISTQB or similar certification in software testing.

What You'll Do

• Partner closely with Customer Success Managers to understand client workflows, identify quality gaps, and ensure smooth solution delivery.
• Design, implement, and execute both manual and automated tests for client-facing workflows across our web platform.
• Write robust and maintainable test scripts using Python (Selenium) to validate workflows, integrations, and configurations.
• Own test planning for client-specific features, including writing clear test cases and sanity scenarios — even in the absence of detailed specs.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to reproduce client-reported issues, root-cause them, and verify fixes.
• Lead or contribute to exploratory testing, regression cycles, and release validations before client rollouts.
• Proactively identify gaps, edge cases, and risks in client implementations and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
• Act as a client-facing QA representative during solution validation, ensuring confidence in delivery and post-deployment success.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in Software QA (manual + automation), ideally with exposure to client-facing or Customer Success workflows.
• Strong understanding of core QA principles (priority vs. severity, regression vs. sanity, risk-based testing).
• Hands-on experience writing automation test scripts with Python (Selenium).
• Experience with modern automation frameworks (Playwright + TypeScript or equivalent) is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with SaaS workflows, integrations, or APIs (JSON, REST, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills — able to interface directly with clients, translate feedback into testable requirements, and clearly articulate risks/solutions.
• Proactive, curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity when working on client-specific use cases.

Good to Have

• Previous experience in a Customer Success, Professional Services, or client-facing QA role.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, BDD/TDD frameworks, and test data management.
• Knowledge of security testing, performance testing, or accessibility testing.
• Familiarity with no-code platforms or workflow automation tools.

Job Title: Manual QA Tester

Location: Bangalore

Experience Required: 4+ Years

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and methodical Manual QA Tester with strong analytical skills and a passion for ensuring high-quality software. You will be responsible for understanding requirements, planning test coverage, identifying defects, and ensuring a seamless user experience across web and API interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases based on functional requirements and specifications
• Perform manual testing of web-based applications, APIs, and mobile apps (if applicable)
• Identify, record, and track bugs using JIRA or similar tools
• Work closely with developers and product teams to understand features and resolve issues
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of test results, reports, and testing processes
• Validate bug fixes, regression cases, and perform smoke testing
• Perform cross-browser and device compatibility testing
• Analyze and debug issues using logs, browser developer tools, and relevant tools

Mandatory Tools & Skills

• Postman – for API testing
• Chrome Developer Tools – for UI inspection, console & network analysis
• JIRA – for defect tracking and test management
• Log Analysis – basic familiarity with reading and debugging logs
• Strong command of test case writing, reporting, and scenario-based testing

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Confluence

We are looking for a can do it attitude, and the ability to deliver with high velocity and high-quality at the same time. 

This person MUST have: 

- BE Computer Science, MCA or equivalent. 

- Experience testing IOT devices managed by cloud. 

- Manual testing experience and a desire to learn and work with the latest technologies. Web, Cloud and Mobile App testing. 

- Develop test plans, cases, and scripts; schedule and execute test cycles; contribute to testability & quality of software. 

- Reports all defects accurately; facilitate problem tracking and successful resolution; assess and communicate various risks involved and provide necessary assistance to engineers and stakeholders. 

- Basic knowledge of automation know-how [ API automation, Python] - Test to fail mindset, Solid test strategy experience, well versed with QA processes. - Hands on experience on Performance test angle.

- Not more than 10 year experience.

Timings:

- 40 hours a week (9 PM IST to 2 AM IST(10 hours in your suitable time) , Monday to Saturday).

• Knowledge of J-meter, Soap UI is a plus
