Initiate and drive technical decisions on a multi-functional, Agile team alongside product management, product design, and engineering

Work closely with product to translate abstract business and product requirements into crisp technical specifications along with a delivery roadmap

Resolve blockers and help the team stay productive

Perform code and design reviews

Take part in building the team and iterating on hiring processes

Must have Requirements for the Role

8+ years of experience in a highly technical role at hyper-growth startup or fast-paced company and 2+ years of experience leading a team

Production level experience with Node.js or Go mandatory.

Experience building highly available and performant applications in any major programming language (e.g. Node.js, Go, Javascript)

In-depth knowledge and experience working with major cloud platform (e.g. AWS (must have experience))

Experience leading product teams

You are a good communicator who can explain technical concepts to product managers, designers, support and other engineers

Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment and with geographically distributed teamsIn-depth knowledge of database and web security

Ensure the projects are delivered within reasonable timelines that meet the acceptance criteria set by the stakeholders

Ensure technical debt is being measured and tackled

Required Skills:

As the Data Science Engineer in CREST, you will

● Write reusable code and build libraries for future use
● Establish solid data-pipelines and automate routine tasks
● Develop & deploy custom Machine Learning (ML) models using the latest
research in ML and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
● Build performant applications following best practices, maximizing speed and scalability
● Improve upon the existing codebase mitigating technical debt
● Take ownership of all aspects of the application - architecture, quality and efficiency
Requirements
● Proficient understanding of Python language
● Expertise with data-modelling, data-wrangling & data-mining techniques
● Familiar with Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes and hands-on experience with packages like Pandas, Numpy etc
● Experience with data visualisation tools and libraries like Plotly, Seaborn etc
● Good understanding of advanced Statistical and ML techniques on
regression, classification, forecasting etc
● Skilled in NLP and specifically ML applications in NLP like information
extraction, feature engineering, classification, building language models etc
● Should provide direction and mentorship to junior team members
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from premier educational institutions
● Minimum 2 years of experience (research or professional) in the
above-mentioned areas

● Comfortable with using Command Line and Linux systems

This role is at high growth startup providing secure video hosting to media and e-learning businesses and thus in high requirement in current market. Site is at www.vdocipher.com. Already in revenues , profitable with 2000+ business customers across 40+ countries. Serving Petabytes of online video content. 

We use API-first approach to implement new features and create developer-friendly interfaces. We have a hybrid model between monolithic and micro-service system based on separation of concern and function.

Salary range -  is 21 to 26 LPA (CTC=Gross), The wide range is to accommodate candidates based on actual experience and skill set. ESOPs will also be granted.

2 to 5+ yrs of work experience expected.

Responsibilities
