Angular Developer

Opportunity Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with experience building Salesforce AppExchange apps to lead the development of Salesforce connectors for our marketing technology products.

What would you do?

·      Collaborate with stakeholders in establishing application requirements, determining features, creating customer-friendly solutions, and determining support needs and performance requirements. 

·      Plan, design, develop, test, and deploy software to satisfy these requirements. 

·      Work according to the agile programming application development methodology adhered to including test-first, iterative development, and continuous re-prioritization.  

·      Support the maintenance of our hosted technology solutions. 

·      Work with other team members in accomplishing group objectives and participating in code reviews. 

·      Ensure timely and robust implementation of the company’s development plans.

·      Ensure that all relevant parties are kept up to date on progress of projects and give feedback on an ongoing basis. 

·      Contribute to the review, selection, and adoption of proprietary tools and technologies. 

·      Use specialist knowledge and experience of information technology to provide technical advice and vision.

Technical Skills

The following skills are needed for this role.

Experience

·      5+ years’ experience in web application design and development 

·      Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience 

Primary Skills

·      Strong background in Front-end technologies – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, etc. 

·      Experience with node.js

·      An understanding of User Experience and a background in building intuitive interfaces. 

Secondary Skills (nice to have)

·      Experience with Shopify integrations.

·      Experience building native apps for other platforms.

·      Experience with Salesforce APEX, VisualForce, SOQL, etc.

·      AWS ecosystem and tools, particularly developing for serverless environments. 

·      Any experience with other languages will be beneficial.

Experience with deploying applications on cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS

• Experience in using REST APIs with the front end

• Experience in handling webMap applications using leading webMap Javascript APIs like ReactJS Leaflet, Google Maps Javascript API and Geoserver management

• Experience with the Agile/Scrum development model

• Strong experience in code versioning using Git.

• Strong design, development, and implementation experience.

• Very good experience in React JS, React Leaflet and Redux

What you need to have:

Near is looking for a Front-End Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce the application's visual elements. You will work with the Near Design team and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks and works.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed.
• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability.
• Get feedback from, and build solutions for users and customers.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Write functional requirement documents and guides.
• Support back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and skills.

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering, Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
• 5+ Years of total experience; should have worked with Angular for more than two years.
• Expertise in designing and developing customer-facing web applications at scale.
• Proficiency in web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6).
• Proficiency in client-side scripting and JavaScript & CSS frameworks, including jQuery, Bootstrap.
• Basic knowledge of image editing tools to crop, resize, or perform minor adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.
• Proficiency in cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficiency in code versioning tools, such as GIT.
• Knowledge about Highchart and Mapbox will be a plus.
• Passionate about learning new technologies.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and organization skills with an eye for detail.
