Android Developer

Hiring for the position of Android Developer /Sr. Android Developer  responsible for developing app from scratch.

We are looking to recruit a candidate for a role that will require:

• Translate design and wireframes into code
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code
• Identify solutions through research and collaboration that resolves the root of problems as they arise
• Unit testing code
• Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications

Requirement

∙  2+ years’ strong development experience in android

∙  Experience using RESTful web services within mobile applications

∙ Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

∙ Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

∙ Experience with code versioning control, such as bitbucket/git

∙  Experience in writing code using kotlin is an advantage

• Work on UI frameworks and abstractions that help define a reliable, reusable and performant web platform.
• Build a next-gen UI using the latest technologies: React Native, Redux, Sass
• Help teams with defining an architecture that would scale and also encourage best practices.
• Goto person to get clarity of problem statements and also can break down into meaningful tasks.

• Work with stakeholders in defining, planning, estimating and ultimately delivering features that deliver meaningful results and business impact.

• Experience with modern UX technologies such as React Native,  and nodeJS.
• Good understanding of functional programming using JavaScript
• Experience with RESTful services
• Excellent software design and coding skills and understanding of OO concepts.

• Ability to debug and resolve issues spanning multiple subsystems.

Job Description

• Have five or more years of experience as a mobile software engineer
• Have deep knowledge of iOS development with Objective-C and/or Swift or deep knowledge of Android development with Java/Kotlin
• Deep knowledge of profiling and instrumentation of mobile applications
• Experience launching and maintaining apps in PlayStore and/or AppStore
• Experience building mobile apps in React Native is a big plus, or experience with React.

• Engineering Graduates or Postgraduates with 2-5 years of experience in mobile development, who have designed and developed advanced applications for the Android platform in B2C domain. Experience of development of app for retail domain is an added advantage.  
• Must have working skills:  
  • Kotlin, RXJava, Dependency injection (Koin/Dagger)

  • Worked on multi-threaded applications 
  • MVP and MVVM 
• In depth understanding of Android recommended design principles, interface guidelines and coding best practices.  
• Experience with performance and memory tuning of complex apps.

Good to have:

• Basic understanding of clean architecture.
• Simple data structure and algorithm understanding.
• Basic understanding of AWS services and products
• Strong design intuition and user empathy.
• Should be aware of future technologies in the Android ecosystem.
• You should be quick in understanding the hypothesis, and build the experiment and make it available to a user
• We prefer people who are highly experimental and willing to take risks.
• Experience in training or mentoring team members.
