Android Developer - (Java/Kotlin Expertise)

This role demands taking care of the following from our Gurugram Office.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

• Continuously learn and stay updated with iOS platform updates and new technologies

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in iOS development

• Proficient in SwiftUI and Objective-C

• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics and Core Text

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services

• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards

• Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines

• Experience with Git or other version control systems

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required

Our team is looking for experienced mobile developers to lead the development of cross-platform mobile applications and be responsible for major technical decisions associated with them accountable for their successful execution. 

In this position on the software engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to many client and internal-facing products. FarmSetu’s suite of products spans multiple technical domains and disciplines in software and hardware, so experience in end-to-end systems thinking across distributed components is key for this role.

• Design, implement and deploy mobile applications
• Lead the delivery of software projects in a team-based environment 
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business users, product managers, customer success representatives and other engineers to define, design, scope and ship new features using elegant solutions.

• Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
• Help others to improve the quality of their work through regular design and code reviews
• Deliver new features to production environments and support them in operation

FarmSetu’s technology stack includes (but will not be limited to) Python, Django/Flask/FastAPI, GraphQL, Hasura, React, Flutter, Dart, Postgres, Celery, Docker, Git/Bitbucket to be deployed on Digitalocean/GCP infrastructure. We’re also quick to adopt better tools and processes, so you’ll be more than welcome to help shape our tool suite.

• 2+ years of experience developing applications at an enterprise scale using the mobile technologies in our stack
• Ability to translate user experience design (mockups, wireframes and user journeys) into code 
• Familiarity with Cloud/SaaS architectures and how to build secure and maintainable applications
• Strong understanding of unit testing, design patterns and usage of tools like profilers
• Experience with source control and continuous integration tools
• Worked in an Agile multi-functional team

1. Designing and developing advanced applications for android platforms.
2. Collaborate with UI/UX designers as well as the software engineers to make sure that each app is presentable.
3. Test the applications, identify any bugs and resolve them
4. Manage tasks within Agile framework and controlled JIRA workflow.
5. Document architecture and implementation for internal and external components.

1. 1+ years of experience in Android Development .
2. Previous experience working in a fast paced start up is a plus.
3. Released at least 1 app or have a project in works that you can tell us about.
4. Experience publishing a high-quality android application to the google store.
5. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
6. Experience working with Android SDK and Android studio.
7. Good in JAVA (j2se) and Kotlin
8. Experience with APIs (OAuth, XML, JSON, REST, etc. )
9. Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical requirements.

• 5+ years of industry experience in developing mobile applications, web and/or large-scale enterprise products
• Mobile Development Experience: Swift, Objective-C, and Xcode
• Familiarity with Apple Human Interface Guidelines
• Experience with standard mobile architectures (MVC, MVVM, MVP, etc)
• Ability to effectively apply software design patterns and architectural principles
• Knowledgeable in building complex user interfaces
• Skillful at writing effective unit and behavioral tests
• Experience with software development processes (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc)
