About Role

Responsibilities  

• Design and develop a delightful Android application for our users, with a focus on simplicity of use and high-performance  
• Write product-independent code and design modular APIs to be used across all of our products  
• Work across disciplines with team members from front-end, backend, design, and product  
• Help ensure we’re bug-free by writing unit-tests, and regularly communicating with our QA team  
• Actively participate in product decisions, ensuring we set reasonable development deadlines  

Requirements  

• Strong development skills with Kotlin/Java and the Android SDK  
• You have an understanding of MVP and / or MVVM  
• You understand the ins and outs of RESTful web services  
• You have experience developing, releasing, and maintaining Android applications on top of RESTful  APIs 
• You have fundamentals in OO-design, data structures, and problem solving 
• You have great communication skills and ability to work with others  
• You have experience shipping quickly and often, while still maintaining test coverage 
• You are a team player-no job is too small or too big!

Job Description :

• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, architectural patterns, and best practices
• Strong Knowledge in integrating  Android apps with back-end applications through RESTful web services
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Experience in app release management and publishing
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications using FCM
• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical documents
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines

• 2+ years of relevant experience in Android Development.
• Should be strong in Android fundamentals (including UI design), OOP & Java fundamentals.
• Should be strong in Kotlin fundamentals and coroutines.
• Familiar with Android Architectures, Multithreading Concepts, Testing framework like JUnit, Espresso, Mockito and Reactive Programming.
• Familiar with Dependency Injection and memory optimization techniques.
• Practitioner of SOLID principles.
• Working experience in Compose and KMM (Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile) is an addon
• Should have been part of a team which has shipped at-least one App and lived through the process without too many scars
• Stellar problem solving skills
• Hunger to learn new things and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
• Ability to move quickly without breaking things too much (we are dreamers)
• Passion for developing awesome user experiences
• Ability to work under pressure which is balanced by a sense of responsibility and ownership.

Mandatory: Hands on experience working with Java or Kotlin. Very strong logical skills. Good hold on operating system concepts and data structure. Experience with web services , SQL Lite , camera kit , image caching concepts, keychain , past experience working with one of the design patterns like MVC / MVVM / MVP , network check implementation.

Good to have:  Rx-Swift experience , video / image filter experience , media player usage , complex UX effects , couch-db , RealM.Knowledge of GIT management , Continuous Integration and Continuous Development practices.

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills , high spirited , eager to learn , able to perform in a high pressure environment
