Role Overview:

As a Mobile Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our mobile application using React Native or Flutter. You will work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native or Flutter.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, optimizing application performance.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional experience in mobile development with React Native or Flutter.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (React Native) or Dart (Flutter) and mobile development frameworks.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX standards and best practices.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with state management (Redux, MobX, Provider, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with native development (Android/iOS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Knowledge of Firebase services (e.g., Authentication, Firestore).

• You will build an android app for the Saathi users (Teachers and students) to manage teacher classes and students’ studies.
• You will work on building features end to end with complete ownership, developing, testing, and deploying the core features.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the Saathi app

• You have prior experience as an Android Developer using Kotlin or have a strong desire to shift to Kotlin.
• You have 2- 4 years of experience in android development.
• You have strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and know how to deal with different screen sizes
• You have proven work experience in design patterns mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM/MVC
• You have familiarity with various testing tools
• You are good in pixel-perfect implementation of designs
• You can easily pick up new technologies and frameworks on the go. For you, engineering is about principles and practices; technology is about tools and tradeoffs.
• You have excellent problem-solving skills and can map out the system design for a feature end to end and execute on it.

This person MUST have:

• B.E Computer Science or equivalent.
• Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the Android market with experience in Android development.

Location:

Timings:

• 40 hours a week but with 4 hours a day overlapping with client timezone.  Typically clients are in California PST Timezone.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Design and implementation of automotive applications
• Analysis of customer product requirements
• Review and investigate issues in code developed by peers
• Partner closely with customers and other Cerence teams to establish and maintain clear, concise communication through regular reporting, meeting participation, and follow-up

Education: Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Minimum years of work experience: 4+ years of industry experience

Required skills:

• 4 + years’ software development experience, preferably for automotive and in connection with user interface technologies
• Experience using modern development processes/tools and developing through the complete Software Development Life Cycle
• Experiences in programing and scripting languages (JAVA, Python, Typescript)
• Experience with using source control tools like Git and CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins

Desired Candidate Profile

Roles and Responsibilities

To build cross-platform mobile apps for Android, IOS, and Web. This should include making responsive UIs to efficiently query data and also manage states in an optimized manner.

- Deep experience contributing to and managing high-scale production mobile apps. You must have previous experience in Flutter development.

Responsibilities and Duties :

• 2-5 years working as a full-time professional developer (Mobile) and 2 Years in a flutter is must
• Experience building a complex mobile applications, flutter would be advantage
• Good to have if it's on the Play Store/App Store or any other demo

• Familiar with REST Api's, websockets in mobile integration.

Mandatory: Hands on experience working with Java or Kotlin. Very strong logical skills. Good hold on operating system concepts and data structure. Experience with web services , SQL Lite , camera kit , image caching concepts, keychain , past experience working with one of the design patterns like MVC / MVVM / MVP , network check implementation.

Good to have:  Rx-Swift experience , video / image filter experience , media player usage , complex UX effects , couch-db , RealM.Knowledge of GIT management , Continuous Integration and Continuous Development practices.

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills , high spirited , eager to learn , able to perform in a high pressure environment

Your responsibilities include:

• Work on the LOTR (Locus on the road) app which is native app in Android in a small team of 3 engineers
• Apart from the app, there is LOTR SDK also which is in nascent stage. The role would require building up the SDK as well
• Write maintainable code with around 80% unit test coverage. Do PR (pull request) review of fellow engineers on the app
• If you are adventurous - opportunity will be provided to work on the backend API to which the LOTR app/SDK will communicate to. Backend is in all java
• We have some created some cool stuff around selective app upgrade setup. Also, our app development process is under CI/CD so you don’t have to build & release app manually.

• 2 - 6 year experience as Android developer in a product based company
