Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer with 3 years of experience to join our

team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python,

Django, and PostgreSQL, along with a good understanding of backend development.

Knowledge of Java will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

 Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and

Django

 Design and manage databases using PostgreSQL

 Write clean, efficient, and reusable code

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new

features

 Debug and resolve technical issues and optimize application performance

 Participate in code reviews and ensure best coding practices

 Required Skills

 Strong experience in Python

 Hands-on experience with Django framework

 Good knowledge of PostgreSQL database

 Understanding of REST APIs and web services

 Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

 Good to Have

 Basic knowledge of Java

 Experience with cloud platforms or deployment processes

 Understanding of front-end technologies is a plus

As a Backend Engineer, you will

• Create and maintain server-side code
• Designing database schemas to support business requirements
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Troubleshoot and debug applications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience as a Backend engineer using Python frameworks like Django, Flask, etc
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of OOP concepts
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience writing unit tests for the application is a plus
• Experience with building REST APIs
• Superior analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong knowledge of Ruby on rails framework.
• Strong Knowledge of coding languages, like PERL, Python and Ruby.

• Knowledge of Microservices development and AWS concept will be an added advantage.

Senior Web Backend Developer

 Company Overview:

It is a US based startup founded in 2018 to build an edge data platform for the autonomous world.Rich data in large volumes is getting collected at the edge (outside a data center) in use cases like autonomous vehicles, smart manufacturing, satellite imagery, smart retail, smart agriculture etc.These datasets are characterized by being unstructured (images/videos), large size (Petabytes per month), distributed (across edge, on-prem and cloud) and form the input for training AI models to get to higher degrees of automation. It is engaged with building products that solve these unique challenges and be at the forefront of this edge data revolution.

The company is backed by prominent VCs and has it’s entire software engineering team based out of India and provides ample opportunities for from-scratch design and development.

Role:

This role is an individual contributor role with key responsibilities in developing web server backends for Akridata management plane software that provides a ‘single pane of glass’ for users to manage assets, specify and monitor large volume data pipelines at scale involving 10s of petabytes of data.

This role involves:

1. Working with tech leads and the rest of the team on the feature design activities and picking appropriate tools and techniques for implementation.
2. Be a hands-on developer able to independently make correct implement choices, follow sound development practices to ensure an enterprise grade application.
3. Guide and mentor junior team members.

 What we are looking for:

1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science with strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving.
2. 5+ years of hands-on experience with software development with 3+ years on web backend development.
3. A good understanding of backend application interactions with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres etc
4. Knowledge of web server development frameworks preferably on Python.
5. Enthusiastic to work in a dynamic, fast paced startup environment.

Good to have:

1. Hands-on experience with designing database schema and implementing and debugging SQL queries for optimal performance for large datasets
2. Experience working with applications deployed on Kubernetes clusters.
3. Experience with working on a product from early stages of it’s development typically in a startup environment.

• You understand when to use NoSQL vs. relational database
• you understand reporting/dashboards framework
• You are comfortable working up and down the stack
• You are able to convert ideas into designs and build them out
