Strong Senior Backend Engineer profiles

Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have 5+ years of hands-on Backend Engineering experience building scalable, production-grade systems

Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have strong backend development experience using one or more frameworks (FastAPI / Django (Python), Spring (Java), Express (Node.js).

Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have deep understanding of relevant libraries, tools, and best practices within the chosen backend framework

Mandatory (Experience 4) – Must have strong experience with databases, including SQL and NoSQL, along with efficient data modeling and performance optimization

Mandatory (Experience 5) – Must have experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and backend systems, including system design and clean code practices

Mandatory (Domain) – Experience with financial systems, billing platforms, or fintech applications is highly preferred (fintech background is a strong plus)

Mandatory (Company) – Must have worked in product companies / startups, preferably Series A to Series D

Mandatory (Education) – Candidates from Tier - 1 engineering institutes (IITs, BITS, are highly preferred)

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test low-latency, high-volume client-facing applications.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-scale, n-tier applications for the investment banking/capital markets domain.
• Implement microservices-based solutions using Spring Boot and other modern frameworks.
• Work extensively with Core Java 5.0 and above, Spring Framework, and CXF
• Optimize applications for multi-threading and high-performance server-side development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient solutions
• Work with RDBMS (preferably Sybase) to handle large-scale data processing.
• Develop and maintain applications on Unix/Linux environments
• Utilize enterprise application design patterns to build robust and scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while ensuring application stability and performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-based deployment.
• Expertise in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and CXF
• Experience in developing and optimizing applications for high-volume, multi-threaded environments
• Solid understanding of financial domain applications, sales, and trading platforms
• Proficiency in working with relational databases (Sybase preferred)
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to articulate and present design ideas effectively.

Based on experience, developers will be involved in building different elements of an online music app. Urgent requirement, immediate hiring will be done.

Overview of the role

As a Node Developer you will be collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and build performant modern web applications and services. Build high-quality web applications and services by writing clean and modular code.

Must have skills

• Overall 3-5 Years of experience in writing unit and integration tests to ensure the robustness and reliability of web applications and services.
• Measure and improve the performance of microservices. Catalyse growth within the team through code reviews and pair programming to maintain high development standards
• Investigate operational issues to find the root cause and propose improvements Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe’s engineering teams.
• Expert level of experience in the design and development of Web Applications, and highly scalable distributed systems.
• Should have experience in development skills using the latest technologies including NodeJS(fastify framework), Microservices, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc. Should have exposure to NoSQL and SQL development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of physical and logical data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Should possess excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Background

Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology

• 2+ years of experience participating in the delivery of technology services.
• A proven ability to learn new applications & innovate in technology
• Strong Experience in technologies like Node, Webservices and Microservices
• Experience with cloud components and services and containerization technologies is desirable
• Exposure to ReactJS desirable
• Experience working with multiple types of datastores: Mongo DB, SQL
• Experience in integrating, designing and developing solutions is desirable
• Experience with CI/CD and TDD is desirable

• Strong knowledge in Javascript

Role and Responsibilities:

• As a backend developer, your primary focus will be the development of all server-side systems
• A basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. You will test, secure and deploy your code
• Work experience on Node.js is a must along with a server-side framework like Express.js
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Experience and proficiency integrating with REST APIs
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience in working with databases such as MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, etc.

Skills Required:

• At least 2 years of experience developing backends using NodeJS should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds.
• Good knowledge of MongoDB(Must) & any other MySQL Database.
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases.
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs.
• Knowledge and working experience in Cloud environment - AWS or Azure
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks.
