Role Overview: UI Web Engineer

As a UI Web Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive, visually appealing, and high-performance web user interfaces. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build seamless web experiences.

Your role involves:

• Translating design concepts into interactive and responsive mobile/web apps.
• Optimizing performance and ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
• Contributing to continuous UI improvements by staying updated with the latest development trends and technologies.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proficiency in Capacitor JS — a must-have skill.
• Impeccable design sense — creating polished, beautiful user interfaces comes naturally to you.
• Familiarity with:
• React JS, Ionic, Xcode, Cocoa Framework, and the related ecosystem.
• Apple design guidelines, common mobile/web UX patterns, and anti-patterns.
• Animations and transitions in mobile/web apps.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers and product teams to translate UI/UX designs into code.

Note: We don’t really care about your qualifications as long as we can see that you have sufficient knowledge required for the role & a strong sense of ownership in whatever you do.

• 3-5 yrs+ experience with Python & concurrency, having experience with golang is a plus
• Taking ownership of the complete backend & development cycles, having great knowledge of frontend is a plus
• Be core part of code and design reviews and make sure our products bar is high on coding and design standards and on Engineering fundamentals
• Taking high level decisions on designing systems across all engineering
• Represent in the Engineering Shiprooms and make technical tradeoffs.
• Hands on development for critical platform features in partnership with ICs.

As a senior mobile engineer, you will primarily focus on shaping our ios mobile experience while demonstrating strong engineering skills across the board. You will architect, develop, and optimize our mobile applications using react native, with a significant emphasis on iOS performance, scalability, and seamless user interactions. beyond coding, you'll provide technical leadership, set best practices, and mentor junior engineers, significantly elevating shoppin's mobile development ecosystem.

Your work will directly influence user engagement with our AI-powered fashion discovery platform, driving innovation in mobile ux, animations, and real-time interactions.

What we’re looking for:

• 2-5 years of experience in mobile development, with significant expertise in react native, especially focused on iOS.
• proven track record of shipping high-quality, pixel-perfect consumer mobile apps, with a priority on iOS platforms.
• strong understanding of mobile architectures (mvvm, redux), with deep knowledge of iOS/swift, xcode, and related development environments.
• hands-on experience with iOS-specific animations, gestures, transitions, and complex ui components.
• expertise in performance optimization, debugging, and enhancing app speed, specifically for iOS devices.
• deep knowledge of api integrations, caching strategies, and platform-specific optimizations, primarily targeting iOS.
• ability to mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and uphold high engineering standards.
• familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, iOS app store deployment processes, and mobile security best practices.
• strong problem-solving skills with a passion for crafting delightful user experiences.
