About the role

We seek a technically rigorous AI Research engineer to advance our core AI systems, with a focus on training, fine-tuning, and optimizing large language models (LLMs). You will bridge cutting-edge research with production-grade engineering, designing high-performance implementations for GPU/TPU clusters and iterating on agentic workflows. This role demands fluency in both theoretical foundations (e.g., transformer architectures, optimization theory) and applied engineering to deploy scalable AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Great at maths and algorithms, with a strong foundation in problem-solving.
• Deep understanding of the first principles behind language models and their architectures.
• Design, train, and fine-tune Transformer-based models and LLMs on multi-GPU systems with cutting-edge techniques.
• Lead research in foundational AI areas, including pretraining, RLHF, efficient fine-tuning methods (e.g., LoRA, QLoRA), and model distillation.
• Rapidly prototype and integrate state-of-the-art techniques from AI research papers into production-ready codebases.
• Optimize distributed training pipelines for large-scale LLMs across GPU clusters using frameworks like PyTorch, CUDA, and FSDP.
• Orchestrate agentic workflows, including multi-agent systems, tool integration, and recursive optimization strategies.
• Develop high-performance implementations of deep learning algorithms, including custom kernel development with Triton and CUDA.
• Stay at the forefront of AI research, exploring trends like emergent behavior in LLMs, speculative decoding, and Mixture-of-Experts scaling, while assessing their practical applications.

First & foremost, this role is not for you if you don’t enjoy solving really deeeep-tech problems with a high surface area, which means that no person would fit in for solving the complete problem (we know that) & there’ll be a lot of things to learn on the way, read further if you’re only interested in something of this sort.

We are building a Social Network for Fashion & E-commerce powered by AI with the vision of redefining how people buy things on the internet! We believe we are one of the very few companies that are here to solve a real consumer problem & not just cash on to the AI hype. As a founding software engineer, your major role would be to take full ownership of development & scaling of backend, collaborating with AI-ML engineers to develop scalable pipelines. You be deeply involved in Software Development, Testing, Integration, Partner collaboration and technical Design and Innovation aligned with product strategy.

Now, What we’re looking for & our expectations

Note: We don’t really care about your qualifications as long as we can see that you have sufficient knowledge required for the role & a strong sense of ownership in whatever you do.

• 3-5 yrs+ experience with python & concurrency, having experience with golang is a plus
• Taking ownership of the complete backend & development cycles, having great knowledge of frontend is a plus
• Be core part of code and design reviews and make sure our products bar is high on coding and design standards and on Engineering fundamentals
• Taking high level decisions on designing systems across all engineering
• Represent in the Engineering Shiprooms and make technical tradeoffs.
• Hands on development for critical platform features in partnership with ICs.
