We are a growing fintech startup looking to hire one of our first engineers. You will lead efforts and have complete ownership of building our web platform. Being an early hire, you will work directly with the founding team and have a chance to significantly influence the direction the company takes. Primary Responsibilities: - Be responsible for the entire backend of the product - Advocating best practices in software design and it's implementation - Being actively involved in the improvements of the existing product. (Performance, scalability, etc.) - Since we are a small team, you will also be responsible for handling the staging and production environment of the product which includes releasing features through continuous integration & deployment to production. - Architecting new feature sets for the product, maintenance of the existing backend codebase. We’re looking for someone who can develop strong and innovative digital marketing strategies, using SEO, PPC, SMM and other techniques to drive traffic to company pages and generate interest in company products and services. The successful candidate should have an intimate understanding of developing, initiating, creating and overseeing a long-term digital marketing campaign as well as spearheading short-term advertising and marketing solutions. We're looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to work on our cutting edge online investment platform which has recently gone live. What will you be doing? Although it is a frontend position there is still some variation to the position. As well as developing frontend functionality you'll be contributing to the scoping and design of new software and supporting planning and estimating. You’ll also be identifying and investigating defects in the systems and developing bug fixes, plus corresponding enhancements to the product. It will be down to you to improve code maintainability and supportability through code refactoring, peer review and other means. What do you need? Ideally, you’ll have previous experience working in Vue.js. However, this isn’t a prerequisite. The most important thing is a real burning desire to learn and pick up new skills so if you want to learn Vue.js this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll have strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS and have had prior experience in some JS frameworks. (e.g. ReactJS, ExtJS, AngularJS). We work with PHP, Laravel 5 on the backend so any experience with that would be great, though not essential. You’ll have experience in working with responsive design. You’ll have worked in an agile environment or willing to work in a team that follows Kanban/Scrum.
