It is a leader and innovator in the financial technology space offering a variety of financial products like mutual funds, equities, and deposits. Our platform also offers bespoke value-added financial advisory services, flexible SIPs, trigger-based investing, automated advisory services leveraging sophisticated data models and algorithms. Our tech stack runs on AWS and is predominantly based on Java on the backend. We are looking for experienced Backend developers responsible for the development and maintenance of complex high performing backend systems that integrate with various service and data providers and developing different layers of the infrastructure. Responsibilities - Data modeling to optimize for performance based on access paths - Replication and sharding multiple data storage systems - Designing APIs and abstractions to expose to the front-end - Building servers and clients for data storage and querying - Experience developing, designing and architecting large-scale web and mobile applications - Extensive database experience with SQL and No SQL solutions - Ensure the best possible reliability, correctness, performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application - Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into an effective technical implementation - Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization Skills - Strong knowledge of server-side programming - Experience with higher level programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript , Golang - Experience with databases like Postgres, Mongo, HBase - Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect front-end applications to back-end service - Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning - Knowledge of the open-source ecosystem, frameworks and the libraries available for common tasks - Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications - A knack for benchmarking and optimization - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git - Familiarity with continuous integration - A strong presence on developer forums like Github, Stackoverflow etc. a plus - Experience in building applications in the BFSI space a plus - Ability to work in a fast-paced startup - Outstanding work-ethic - Proven ability to mentor, guide and technically lead other developers
