Pre-requisites:

• 3-5 years of experience is building robust Android Applications
• Have knowledge of publishing apps on the Play Store
• Excellent command over Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of Kotlin,Retrofit, OkHttp, Glide, Exo-Player, Android Jetpack Kotlin coroutines.
• Have an understanding of OOP, different architectural patterns (esp. MVVM), and their testability
• Knowledge of multi module architecture and product flavours.
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Familiarity with In-App purchases and google billing api.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• A knack for benchmarking and optimisation
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with continuous integration

Responsibilities:

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality Code.
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automatisation.
• Take Responsibility of a feature and ensure it's completion.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Android Developer to join our team for a full time permanent position. The successful candidate will be working remotely, and will be provided with a laptop to be able to work from home. Technical Requirements:

• Android SDK

Skills and Experience:

• English speaker
• Computer Science degree or similar
• 4+ years’ Android experience
• At least one app currently published and live on the Google Play store
• Experience with Android Widgets
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Experience crafting pixel-perfect user interfaces with complex interactions and animation
• Experience with Google Maps API
• Test driven development
• Passion for delivering well designed high quality software
• Knowledge of OOP, design and architectural patterns such as MVC
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to self-manage and work autonomously in a collaborative environment

• Min 2-3 years of experience in Mobile App/Android development
• Min 1 year of experience in Kotlin
• Immediate joinee are preferred
• Experience with different programming paradigms, esp. functional and reactive programming
• Strong in writing unit test cases
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with git and continuous integration
• Proficiency in various software design patterns
• Exposure to agile/scrum
• Excellent communication skill
