Responsibilities for PHP Developer

·        Develop, record and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications on portal plus premium service platforms

·        Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team

·        Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications

·        Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools

·        Utilize backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API

·        Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support

·        Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues

·        Document the development process, architecture, and standard components

·        Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager

·        Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development

·        Previous working experience as a PHP / Laravel developer for (x) year(s)

·        In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 5 PHP Framework

·        Hands on experience with SQL schema design, SOLID principles, REST API design 

·        Software testing (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat)

·        MySQL profiling and query optimization

About our Engineering Department

We build new features on top of a stack using YII2 framework, consisting of web apps communicating through APIs, backed by MySQL databases and currently using Cordova for our Android and iOS apps
We don’t follow rigid Scrum or Kanban, but we do work in an agile, iterative way – we deploy changes multiple times a week to production and try to continuously improve and implement what works for us.

Here are some things you’ll be doing in the role (but not limited to):

Writing code, code reviews, fixing bugs, optimising server response, etc.
Understanding the problems to be solved, and breaking these down into small, actionable tasks.

So, what are we specifically looking for?

About 1-4 years experience in PHP framework, including both successes and failures, which help you make better decisions.
Good working knowledge of PHP MVC Frameworks, MySQL & HTML/CSS.
Significant experience in working on major systems in one or more languages: ideally you’ve built REST API endpoints on top of data storage layers, and understand concepts like authentication, caching, web security, and the way that frontends consume APIs.

• Designing and Developing web applications using Laravel 7 / 8
• Closely working front-end and back-end developers on projects.
• Hands on experience with handing MySQL queries
• Excellent logical and analytics skill
• Experience on handling and developing API end points
• Experience with Payment Gateway integrations and implementations
• Knowledge on any Frontend Framework - Bootstrap / Foundation / Backbone (Secondary skills, added advantage)

• Follow standard coding structure with Security first approach to avoid vulnerabilities such as SQL Injection and XSS
• Sound knowledge on integrating multiple payment gateway

PHP, Cordignito, Laravel, SQL, Oops concept, strong logical thinking.

• Minimum 1-year experience is mandatory
• Proven Software Development Skills in Laravel Framework and Core PHP
• Good knowledge and experience in OOPS concepts and Core PHP
• Good Database designing skills in MySQL
• Experience in known APIs like Google, Facebook, etc.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, JASON, AngularJS will help
• Passion for Software Development and Coding
• Good Knowledge and Experience in WordPress will help.
