KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

You'll be expected to own projects from start-to-finish. We are looking for passionate Web Engineers who appreciates good engineering and user experience. The person should be enthusiastic about maintaining a clean codebase and possess a passion for pushing web technologies to the limits to design and build exceptional products.

§ Work closely with design, product management, and development teams to create elegant, usable, responsive, and interactive interfaces across multiple devices.

§ Turning UI/UX designs into prototypes, creating awesome interactions from designs, writing reusable components and maintainability of the code.

§ Demonstrates excellent problem solving & debugging skills.

§ An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and bring in optimal flow for rapidly changing design/ technology.

§ Write unit and integration tests to improve and maintain high code coverage.

 

Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

 

• Excellent programming skills in JavaScript

• Experience with expertise in designing and implementing high-performance web applications

• Expert in SPA Frameworks React JS

• Solid understanding and demonstrated ability of creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.

• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and cross-browser compatibility issues.

• Solid understanding of CSS box model and flex layouts.

• Proficient in SASS.

• Experience with REST APIs, Node JS/.Net Web API/Golang is a plus.

• Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Experience with unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD) with various test frameworks (like Jasmine, Karma, Protractor).

• Experience in optimizing the application for performance and scalability.

• Experience in state management using Akita and cross-browser support.

Technical Skills: React JS Version 16 or above , Strong proficiency in JavaScript, object model, DOM manipulation and event handlers, data structures, algorithms, JSX. Complete understanding of ReactJS and its main fundamentals like JSX, Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, etc.

Preceding experience with ReactJS workflows like Flux, Redux, Create React App, data structure libraries Understanding of RESTful APIs/GraphQL, HTML/CSS, ES6 (variables and scoping, array methods), DevOps, performance testing frameworks Preferred degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar Soft Skills: Competence to translate business needs into technical requirements Open-minded team player, willing to accept feedback and offer suggestions.

We are looking for an Angular expert who has broad experience and is ready to take on new challenges to learn specialized implementations for both mobile and web applications. They would be actively coordinating with the blockchain teams as well.

passion for all things JavaScript, having built complex single-page applications on React/Redux for at least 2 years.

Profound understanding of HTML, CSS, and browser capabilities to build beautiful, fast and snappy applications.

Comfortable with jest for writing unit and integration tests/puppeteer for e2e tests.

Curiosity to remain updated with the newest technologies and frameworks. Intuition for usability and UI design, with an ability to balance polish with the constraints of timing and scope.

Comfort with any of WebRTC/Backend Stack/React Native is a strong plus.

The day-to-day responsibilities will include creating and developing our web-app platform which is a fintech platform:

1. Creating the web app using React.js majorly. It includes login, database connectivity with MongoDB, search functionality, session management etc.
2. Thorough knowledge of React.js and frontend web dev.
3. Ability to work very fast and be independent.

*Experience building complex web interfaces. Bonus if built web games before. All gaming companies. *Javascript, React/Angular/Vue any such JS frameworks. Bonus: Socket Programming. *Someone who likes bringing beautiful designs to life and enjoys building games. Also, someone who can code in a hacky, agile way.

Your Role
Leading the UX Engineering team at AQR you will be responsible for:
 Leading set of front-end engineers towards building core infrastructure required for UI development across the firm
 Working closely with the business in Bangalore and Greenwich, CT, USA on defining new internal and external application interfaces
 Developing the technology strategy for UI development for the firm
 Building re-usable web libraries and user-facing components that support large, complex web applications at the firm.
 Designing and developing data intensive UI applications with great emphasis on data accuracy,reusability, scalability and performance
 Institutionalizing UI development process compatible to work with product owners, users, backend engineers and operations.
 Demonstrating the benefits of good design and user experience across AQR
 Optimizing web applications on client side (browser) and server side (web servers) to maximize speed and scale.
 Continually drive improvements in web infrastructure at the firm to be up-to-date with the latest in the industry.

What You’ll Bring
 Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related field of engineering
 Over 14+ years of working experience in leading teams and delivering software applications
 Strong experience using modern browser frameworks like Angular, or React or Vue
 In-depth knowledge of JavaScript and other browser technologies including HTML5 and CSS3.
 Working experience with various front end libraries and components including Highchart, d3, ag-grid etc.,.
 Strong understanding of user experience design and data visualization techniques
 Familiarity with the whole web stack, including browser JS engine, HTTP, web servers and optimization
techniques
 Outstanding coding, debugging skills and analytical skills
