The Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our team at 21 Knots. Someone with backend development with a working knowledge of frontend technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask, and familiarity with frontend tools like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and optionally React, Angular, or Vue. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable software solutions while collaborating with a team

Responsibilities

• Develop,test, and maintain backend services using Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for web and internal tools.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Optimize application performance and implement backend security best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Support basic frontend development tasks using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Work with modern frontend frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue (good to have).

What You’ll Need

Experience:

• 1–4 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Exposure to full-stack development environments.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud integration is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Tools & Software Proficiency:

• Proficiency in Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Exposure to Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS for responsive UI design.
• Good to have: experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Agile/Scrum methodologies is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Developer with a strong background in SaaS product development and expertise in designing scalable, secure, and resilient systems. You will lead the technical architecture of our cloud-native platforms, manage cross-functional

engineering efforts, and implement best practices across backend, frontend, and infrastructure layers.

This is a leadership role based on-site in Jaipur and ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex system challenges and building high-impact software.

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead the design and implementation of scalable SaaS application architecture

● Architect and develop solutions using Laravel, NestJS, Node.js, and AWS

● Build and manage microservices and serverless infrastructure for high availability and maintainability

● Implement and manage asynchronous and parallel request handling for optimized system performance

● Design and scale load handling and queue management systems using BullMQ and Redis

● Develop and integrate real-time data workflows using webhooks and external APIs

● Configure and manage Node.js clusters for performance and fault tolerance

● Collaborate with frontend developers working on React and Vue.js to deliver seamless UI/backend integration

● Ensure code quality, observability, and maintainability across services

● Monitor, debug, and resolve issues in production using logs and performance tracking tools

● Drive CI/CD implementation, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

● 5 - 7 years of experience in full-stack or backend software development

● Proven experience as a Lead Developer on SaaS products

● Proficient in Laravel, NestJS, and Node.js

● Deep understanding of BullMQ, Redis, and message/queue-based architectures

● Experience with asynchronous processing, parallel request handling, and load distribution

● Proficient in microservices and serverless architecture patterns

● Strong command of AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch)

● Hands-on experience with webhooks, job queues, background tasks, and rate-limiting strategies

● Familiarity with Node.js cluster mode and scaling strategies

● Solid experience in debugging, tracing, and performance monitoring

● Frontend integration experience with React or Vue.js (please specify your exposure)

● Strong leadership, collaboration, and mentoring abilities

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

● Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines

● Exposure to event-driven architecture and multi-tenant SaaS platforms

● Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic

Responsibilities

• Ability to translate Wireframes and PSD Designs into functional web apps using HTML5, AngularJS, React , Node.js, and Mongo

• Binding of UI elements to JavaScript object models

• Creating RESTful services with Node.js

• Architect scalable web architectures

• Work in a cross-functional team to deliver a complete user experience

• Create Unit and Integration tests to ensure the quality of code

• Be responsive to change requests and feature requests

• Write code that is cross-platform and cross-device compatible

• Ability to wear many hats and learn new technologies quickly

Developer will work collaboratively with other developers, Product Managers, designers and SMEs, owning all aspects of product development from requirement gathering, coding, testing and deployment. This specific role will be responsible for developing required applications and supporting them in DevOps model. - Work with product manager and stakeholders to analyze user stories - Participate in team activities to estimate and plan sprints - Implement stories and work with team to meet sprint goals - Write unit tests and contribute to ongoing testing needs. - Ongoing support of capabilities following DevSecOps practices. Prior knowledge in Finance or electronic Payment area is preferred but not necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program daily in Node.JS, Angular2+/React JS, Express, Bootstrap, MongoDB and others.

Build web-based and mobile-first front-end GUIs to support workflows.

Integrate with REST APIs and relational databases.

Build out new features and iterate on existing features.

Design and implement low-latency, high-availability and performant applications.

Help define architectures and design patterns.

Participate in code reviews.

Must have experience in Deployment

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Real world web and service development experience.

Deep Experience with modern frameworks such as Node.JS, Angular2+/ React , Express & MongoDB.

Experience with server-side languages like Jade, EJS, etc

Experience with HTML5 & CSS3 frameworks such as bootstrap.

Experience with web services API integration (Rest, JSON, XML).

Experience in anyone one these Docker, Kubernates, AWS, Azure

1. Strong fundamentals OOPS concepts, Exception Handling, Coding Standards, Logging

2. Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core Angular. 

3. Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments

4. Communicating with external web services and processing data

5. Experience with offline storage threading and performance tuning

6. Review code and maintain the code quality and suggest best practices

7. Knowledge and experience on data science and programming languages

8. Demonstrable abilities to optimize code. Strong analytical skills for effective problem solving
