Requirements:

• Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Design Patterns, ACE Framework, and Socket Programming.
• Experience in Multi-threaded software development for Multicore Architectures.
• Experience in VOIP application development, preferably on client/server platforms.
• Understanding of system performance and scaling.
• Experience in embedded software development.
• Excellent problem solving/debugging skills design, develop, troubleshoot and debug.
• Software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Hands-on experience in Autosar methodologies and workflows.

• Sound understanding of embedded SW development using C on 32/64 bit microcontrollers.

• Experience in at least one of microcontroller architectures: Renesas RH family, Tricore or PowerPC architecture.

• Automotive Product Development Process knowledge (ASpice, ISO26262)

• Experience in one or more of Autosar BSW Modules stacks.

• Autosar based SWcs development in any domain of cluster, ADAS and IVI system.

• Com stack (FlexRay, CAN, LIN, Ethernet) / Memory Stack/ Diagnostic stack/ OS, Wdg, other services.

• Working knowledge on AUTOSAR ECU software architecture

• Understand the various features provided by AUTOSAR BSW modules and configure BSW modules in Davinci Configurator or similar tools

• Understand the AUTOSAR application (SW-C) configuration and the interaction of AUTOSAR applications (SW-C) with the underlying BSW modules

• Understand the functionality of RTE, mapping of application entities with BSW module parameters, OS scheduling concepts, ECU and BSW module state changes

• Understand the AUTOSAR methodology (ECU extract contents, import of ECU extract into configuration tool)

Understand the flow of the AUTOSAR software from application till the underlying driver.

What you’ll do at Ather:

A successful candidate is expected to lead the Firmware development and integration effort for various Ather products and be responsible for qualifying and integrating FW at various stages with HW. Responsibilities include:

• Understanding requirements from different stakeholders and translating these to application features

• Writing high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines

• Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

• Performing functional and non-functional testing

• Troubleshooting and debugging applications

• Designing creative prototypes according to specifications

• Evaluating existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features

• Developing technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code

• Identifying and communicating possible risks along with preventive and corrective measures

• Designing HW/SW integration while working with HW/Algorithms/Cloud teams to deliver an integrated solution. 

Here’s what we are looking for: 

Must have: 

• ECU Software development experience (any of the ARM based Auto ECUs Body Electronics/Infotainment/ Powertrain/Cluster) 

• Previous experience with Low level firmware, Boot loaders, Device Drivers development 

• Hands on Experience Communication Protocols CAN, I2C, SPI, RS232

• Experience with static analyser, JTAG tools etc…

• Knowledge in Assembly and compilers

• Strong testing & debugging skills, experience with logic analysers

• Language: C, C++

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of HW design for ECUs

• Experience with UDS, AutoSAR, ISO26262, MISRA Guidelines 

• Previous experience with SIL and HIL Testing as well as Test case generation for the same.

• Hand on experience in using CAN tools & CAPL Scripts, Bus Master

• Real Time operating Systems, Python, Matlab/Simulink

JOB ROLE: EMBEDDED SYSTEMS ENGINEER

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with multi-disciplinary engineering team and customer to identify and recommend hardware needs and requirements for project/product.
• Modify or assist in the development of software architecture and design for new products, prototype, or re-design, including sourcing build environments and writing technical support and control documentation.   
• Read Block Diagrams and detail circuit schematics and layout of proposed or existing hardware and assess the software and driver requirements.
• Participates in cross-divisional Edge IoT projects and/or proposals.
• Develop, oversee, and document automated tests for electrical hardware design and products as well as final operating drivers and systems.
• Evaluate and investigate product failures, and recommend repair or design modifications based on specifications, cost, resources, and risks.

REQUIREMENTS:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities

+ Design, build and maintain low latency, high-performance electronic trading platform components, with a focus on market data, exchange and client connectivity and risk controls.

+ Deliver continuous optimization for latency, scale and resiliency improvements.

+ Participate in system builds for various markets globally, have curiosity and interest in understanding market microstructure details, work closely with engineering, sales and product teams globally for successful delivery of projects.

+ Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience

+ 5+ years of professional experience developing deterministic high performance, low latency systems in python/C++ (counted in single digit microseconds)

+ Prior experience with FIX and binary exchange connectivity and market data protocols preferred

+ Strong knowledge of object oriented programming, data structures, algorithms and design patterns

+ Critical path analysis, performance optimization and hardware acceleration.

+ Linux systems programming experience including memory management, concurrent programming infrastructure, and the networking stack

+ Experience developing distributed architecture systems and messaging protocols

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills

+ Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated, results driven and commercially focused

Preferred Qualifications

+ Software development in python/C++ in the context of high performance (low- latency, high-throughput) real-time computing.

+ Familiarity with STL and C++11 language extensions, Boost

+ Network programming (sockets, TCP/UDP/Multicast protocols)

+ Multi-threading, concurrent programming

+ Intimate knowledge of compilers, flow of data at hardware level (memory/ caches, buses) + Some experience with FPGA or other hardware acceleration technologies

+ Experience processing large static datasets as well as high volume ticking data sources

+ Over 3 years' experience in Financial industry (Plus)
