Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) who can bridge the gap between management and developers. The TPM will manage Android, Frontend, and Backend teams, ensure smooth development processes, track progress, evaluate output quality, resolve technical issues, and deliver timely reports.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Team Management

• Manage daily tasks for Android, Frontend, and Backend developers
• Conduct daily stand-ups, weekly planning, and reviews
• Track progress, identify blockers, and ensure timely delivery
• Maintain sprint boards, task estimations, and timelines

Technical Requirement Translation

• Convert business requirements into technical tasks
• Communicate requirements clearly to developers
• Create user stories, flow diagrams, and PRDs
• Ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly

Quality & Build Review

• Validate build quality, UI/UX flow, functionality
• Check API integrations, errors, performance issues
• Ensure coding practices and architecture guidelines are followed
• Perform preliminary QA before handover to testing or clients

Issue Resolution

• Identify development issues early
• Coordinate with developers to fix bugs
• Escalate major issues to founders with clear insights

Reporting & Documentation

• Daily/weekly reports to management
• Sprint documentation, release notes
• Maintain project documentation & version control processes

Cross-Team Communication

• Act as the single point of contact for management
• Align multiple tech teams with business goals
• Coordinate with HR and operations for resource planning

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Android, Web (Frontend/React), Backend development flows
• Knowledge of APIs, Git, CI/CD, basic testing
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Ability to review builds and suggest improvements
• Strong documentation skills (Jira, Notion, Trello, Asana)
• Excellent communication & leadership

Your Role

At the level of lead engineer, you are seen as a natural leader by your peers. You have a deep experience in designing and building secure, scalable, applications for the web using .Net, AWS and SQL - a background working in financial services at enterprise scale is preferred. You live our design and development methodologies, understand our business. You should have extensive knowledge on enterprise systems, security, development technologies within the Microsoft Stack, as well as excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

In this role you will be responsible for designing our global Digital Wealth platform product features , this includes core application functionality, API work as well as integrations with key partners. As one of the team's leaders, this person should be empowering our development team to make sound technical and architectural decisions. You will be accountable for quality of deliverables coming out of your squad and show ability to quickly learn and analyze complex system. This is a hands-on position, working in agile world on meaningful projects with a direct, immediate and visible impact to our key global clients.

To complete development activities required to meet business requirements. Development activities should be completed within expected delivery dates and should adhere to all Invesco development standards. The ability to communicate with project managers and other IT professionals is a must.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

•               Gather and analyze information on existing business processes in order to make recommendations that seek to improve business systems and processes.

•               Analyze and document requirements for enhancements to systems and / or business processes. May involve investigation of third party vendors or systems.

•               Clearly document solutions and recommendations to business problems.

•               Review requirements and designs with relevant stakeholders to obtain agreement and sign off of proposals.

•               Create cost and time estimates along with project plans to enable prioritization and execution of work.

•               Complete all tasks related to development, unit testing, user acceptance testing, reporting and system implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle.

•               Always conform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined.

•               Maintain system support documentation for all supported applications, ensuring it is kept up to date.

•               Assist with necessary documentation and implementation plans in the promotion of code to production environments

•               Assist with regular system upgrades on third party applications by reviewing functionality changes (new/amended), system testing and updating of support documentation.

•               Communicate with project managers and management using clear, user-friendly terminology (emails, phone, meetings).

•               Must demonstrate a strong customer focused attitude and understand the fundamentals of customer service.

•               Work with peers to do unit testing and code review to ensure quality builds.

The Experience You Bring

·      8+ years technical leadership and architecture experience in software development

·      6+ years of ASP.NET, C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and SQL Server, AWS and Microservices

·      5+ years working in SQL-backed environments.

·      In depth knowledge of client side JavaScript frameworks like React and Redux

·      In depth knowledge of REST services(WCF, Web API, Microservices)

·      Solid work experience in building SaaS based products.

·      Experience and clear understanding of how to plan and execute within iterations and sprints

·      Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

·      Innovative, challenging programming work in the Microsoft stack, with SQL Server as a back end

·      Experience building for the web using C#, Bootstrap, Vue, AJAX, CSS, jQuery, REST and the latest technologies.

Academic requirements

Any engineering degree from a top tier educational institution preferred

As a core member of the Software Development team, you will be responsible for the architecture, coding, development, testing and release of customer applications hosted both on-premise and on-cloud. Candidates with proven experience in both Frontend and Backend Development (predominantly Backend Development) with prior experience in deploying applications on AWS/Azure cloud will be preferred.

You will be leading a small team of developers (not more than 3 at a time) on a given project, and be a client-facing SPOC to work with the client and meet stringent deadlines. You will be responsible for Coding and Development with a code coverage of minimum 90%. You will adhere to coding and security standards and ensure that your delivery is secure and free from any critical, high and medium-rated vulnerabilities.
