Domain Expertise: Background in product-based companies, investment banking experience preferred. Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams of 3–4 members. Process Knowledge: Expertise in end-to-end SDLC and Agile methodologies. Some of the tech problems you get to work on as a backend engineer would be to build the backend for a modern spreadsheet experience from scratch, work on infra as code, write robust code that is fault-tolerant, work on performant code that adheres to SLOs set by the organization.

About you:

● 3- 5 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Help define Technical Roadmap and own the entire product delivery end to end
• Work very closely with various business stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies
• Improve, optimize and identify opportunities for efficient software development processes
• Hire, Develop and Retain a strong team of engineers
• Keep abreast of the changes in the industry and champion new technologies and development processes within the team
• Thinking backwards from a customer POV and relentlessly pursuing customer's cause in tech and product decisions

Apply If You have:

• Graduation/Post Graduation degree in Computer Science (IITs, IIITs and NITs preferred)
• 6-10 years of strong experience in JAVA(Spring/Hibernate/JPA/REST), JavaScript, NodeJS with good exposure to MySQL
• Experience with AWS, Microservices, Caching, Performance Optimization, Nginx, Solr, Redis, Redshift
• Experience working with agile teams and making rapid decisions in dynamic and disruptive environment
• 2+ years of leading and managing a team consisting of backend, frontend and QA.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a member of our fast-growing engineering team, your responsibility will be to get involved in day-to-day development operations and solve complex problems of digitization to meet the demands of business.

The responsibilities include:

• Writing the clean quality code & Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analyzing the requirements in the context of the product
• Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks
• Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets
• Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities
• Being able to lead/support UAT and production roll outs
• Creating, understanding and validating estimated effort for given module/task, and being able to justify it
• Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
• Giving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations
• Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex bugs
• Coming up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken
• Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements
• Carrying out DevOps activities which includes creating Jenkins pipeline

Key Skills

Should possess hands-on full life-cycle development experience (architect, design, code, test, release) be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, client/server-side development frameworks and third-party libraries.

• Should be strong in data structures and algorithms. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Work with cutting edge technologies like Java 8, Scala, React, Akka, Docker, Puppet, and Salt
• Hands-on knowledge of Spring core, MVC, JPA. Working knowledge of Spring Boot
• Should have strong hands-on on one of the JavaScript frameworks: jQuery, AngularJS, ReactJS, and Vue.js.
• Willing to working with latest Cloud and Container technologies like AWS
• Experience with both external and embedded databases. NoSQL DB experience is good to have
• Implementing unit testing using frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, etc.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with Maven (Other building tools Ant and Gradle are good to have)
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Good understanding of Agile practices

• 6 to 8 years of experience with the majority as Java engineer
• Strong hands-on experience on building the application using technologies Java, Spring/Springboot/Microservices
• Experience in building Micro Services using Spring Boot would be a plus
• Strong knowledge and experience with SQL queries and databases like Postgre SQL/Oracle.
