About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full Stack (MERN) Developer to join our product engineering team. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a product-based software development company and should have hands-on involvement in e-commerce platform projects.

Mandatory Criteria

• Candidate must be currently working or have prior experience in a product-based software development company
• Candidate must have worked on at least one e-commerce platform project (end-to-end involvement)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js
• Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality front-end code
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation
• Work in a collaborative, agile development environment

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, and Express.js
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and architectural patterns
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git
• Understanding of CI/CD and cloud-based deployment practices
• Good grasp of performance optimization, caching, and security practices

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:-

• Technical Competencies: HTML5, CSS, JS, jQuery, Angular JS, Ajax, JSON, SOAP, REST, cross browser compatibility, Responsive web design (RWD), version control, Web service integration.
• Deep knowledge of NodeJS, Angular2+ Version and MondoDB.
• Candidate should be proficient in both front-end and back-end development, including solution stacks like MEAN, and server-side technologies like Node.js.

JOB DESCRIPTION:-

Full Stack Developers are responsible for developing and designing front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications and working alongside graphic designers for web design features, among other duties.

 He/She will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.

This person is required for a 9-months contract, will work with our client, one of the largest & most reputed Footwear brands in India while being on the payroll of Benchkart.

• Proficient in PL/SQL coding. Having hands-on experience in writing databases, triggers, functions, procedures, packages, dynamic SQL queries.

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports(D2K). Having experience in developing complex forms and reports for end-user applications.

• Knowledge of APEX & Unix Shell Scripting as an additional Skillset.

• Having knowledge of Performance tuning.

• Using standard methodologies, analyze functional and requirement documents to develop technical design specifications.

• Perform root cause analysis on production issues to Identify bottlenecks and bugs.

• 24X7 support is expected for critical production calls on an exceptional basis

• should play a role of an independent technical team member

• Ability to develop good technical designs with all the required considerations - scalability, performance, architecture.

• Maintain a high level of code quality, SDLC processes, and documentation and should possess good communication skills.

• Good Knowledge of code versioning tools and knowledge of Jira or similar ticketing tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and should be able to estimate efforts for minor enhancements.

• Experience in working with the global team. Participate actively in conference calls and drive the discussions and meetings. Also, work closely with the cross-functional teams on various production issues and projects with the Capability to travel abroad (up to 25%)

• Other mandatory Skill sets: Oracle Apex, Basic database administration.

• Addon Skills: Oracle ORDS, Web services, AJAX/Advanced JavaScript experience, Oracle Cloud exposure (OCI, DBAAS)

Role & Responsibilities

• A Proven work experience as a Ruby on Rails developer with good understanding of Java script, jQuery, HTML, CSS. The individual will need to be hands on with development, performance optimisation, secure development process, usability, and coding standards of the product.
• Strong ROR development experience and follows best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards).
• Should have a mix of excellent reasoning ability to document, develop and test software with the commitment to excellence and defect free product before being deployed.
• Should be able to work closely with all stakeholders to investigate, fix, optimise, test, and deploy high quality solutions.
• Should have hands on understanding of technical design, implementation, and maintenance of technical initiatives towards improving and scaling of products.
• Self-motivated and should rapidly incorporate new requirements and deliver successfully by self.
• Effectively communicates with peers and stakeholders, gathers and clarify requirements from technical & functional aspect.

• Follows software development process; consistently innovates processes to improve individual and team productivity and quality.
• Strong Analytical, Problem Solving Skills and participates in all activities with urgency, should be result oriented and with strong work ethic.
• Experience with Agile development lifecycle with excellent understanding of feature estimation and ability to communicate issues and risks that may impact timelines or resources.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 4+ years of IT experience.
• At least 4 years commercial web development experience.
• At least 3 years of Ruby on Rails commercial development experience.
• Familiarity with Relational and Non Relation Databases ( Postgres, Mysql, MongoDb)
• REST API development.
• Familiarity with In Memory Database ( Redis, Memcache )
• Web development - HTML, HTML5 JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, jQuery, http, REST.
• AGILE/SCRUM development Experience.
• Development practices - Rails test framework / TDD / BDD, Domain Driven Design, SOLID, refactoring, OOP design patterns
• Expertise in version control system ( GIT )
• Candidate need to be comfortable dabbling with some basic infrastructure management on AWS.
• Familiarity with ( React, Vue ) is a plus.
