About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Associate with a strong background in commercial litigation, employment law, regulatory enforcement, and public law. The successful candidate will manage complex litigation matters, advise clients on legal strategy and risk mitigation, and work closely with senior partners on high-impact cases.

This role offers significant client interaction, increasing ownership of litigation matters, and exposure to sophisticated legal disputes across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage litigation cases and independently handle key case components in state and federal courts.
• Draft and review pleadings, dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and other substantive legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop strategic arguments across evolving statutory and regulatory frameworks.
• Manage written discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Handle commercial and corporate disputes, including partnership, shareholder, and governance litigation.
• Represent clients in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff disputes, wage-and-hour class actions, and trade secret matters.
• Advise employers and employees on employment-related risks, compliance, personnel decisions, and pre-litigation strategy.
• Conduct workplace investigations and support internal employment assessments.
• Handle regulatory investigations, enforcement proceedings, administrative matters, writ petitions, and appellate litigation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines while collaborating with partners on case strategy and development.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

• 6+ years of litigation experience in state and/or federal courts.
• Strong experience in commercial and corporate litigation, including partnership or shareholder disputes.
• Hands-on employment litigation experience covering single-plaintiff matters, wage-and-hour class actions, and trade secret disputes.
• Experience drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, substantive briefs, and other legal documents.
• Proven ability to conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Experience managing written discovery, motion practice, and litigation workstreams.
• Knowledge of California employment laws, civil procedure, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Experience providing employment counseling, workplace investigations, and risk mitigation advice.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, communication, and judgment skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.
• Active membership in the California Bar or the ability to obtain admission promptly.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience handling both plaintiff-side and defense-side employment matters.
• Experience in regulatory enforcement, public law, administrative proceedings, writ petitions, and appellate litigation.
• Previous training at a leading law firm, litigation boutique, or government legal practice.
• Judicial clerkship or government litigation experience.
