Full Stack MERN Developer (Contract-Based)

Role Overview: We are looking for highly skilled Full Stack MERN Developers to join our team for a high-impact, 6-month contract engagement. This is an in-house, contract-based role based in South Bombay. You will be responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining robust web applications, contributing directly to our core product architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using the MERN stack.
• Architect and build modular backend services using NestJS and frontend interfaces using Next.js.
• Collaborate with the internal product team to deliver new features and optimize existing workflows.
• Implement secure RESTful APIs, manage database schemas (MongoDB), and ensure seamless frontend-backend integration.
• Maintain clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in Full Stack development.
• Core Stack: Expert-level proficiency in MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Required Frameworks: Hands-on professional experience or deep working knowledge of Next.js (Frontend) and NestJS (Backend).
• Language: Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Bonus: Experience with AI-assisted coding tools or integrating LLM APIs is highly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and excellent problem-solving skills.

Contract Details:

• Type: In-house, Contract-based (6 Months, extendable).
• Location: South Bombay.

What will you be doing? 

• Strong Development/Management background with experience in Developing Products with large-scale user transactions and having critical business nature.
• Must be able to build the technical architecture/stack of the product from scratch including server interactions, scripts, deployment stage, features with a cost-effective manner.
• Hands-on implementation of the critical interfaces and complex modules of the systems and features as a solution architecture and design.
• Provide timely deliverables, estimates, and complete tasks in an Agile development environment.
• Reviewing code for coding standards and accuracy and functionality.
• Help the team to solve complex coding problems and troubleshoot the issues.

What skills do you need?

• Minimum 5+years of Technical Lead experience.
• Handle on any MVC PHP Frameworks Like Zend Framework, Laravel
• Must have experience on  NodeJS, Express, Loopback
• Good to have hands-on Serverless Framework & CLI, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions
• Must have experience working with JavaScript technologies like NodeJS, AngularJS,  React.
• Hands-on  Relation, Non-relation, MYSQL, Data Lakes, HIVE, Apache Spark, MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, Streaming Analytics, In-Memory, NoSQL Database.
• Must have a good understanding of building and using REST APIs and Different Authentication Protocols.
• Good to have experience with  Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS Aurora, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront )
• Must have experience building microservices and customer-facing APIs.
• Must have a sound understanding of failure modes, resiliency patterns, and techniques to enable robust, self-healing architecture.
• Develop Business Domain-Driven Reusable Microservices.
• Knowledge of version control systems like GIT (mandatory).
• Experience with Google Cloud is a plus.
• Experience with the process of automation and load testing is a plus.

Have at least 2 years of experience with two or more development languages. Experience

working on Python is a MUST and that on JAVA is nice to have.

• Experience in building web platform with Angular 9+ (React could be an alternative) is a MUST
• Experience in building applications with containerization like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in writing relatively complex DB queries (preferably SQL Server, MySQL). Experience working on No-SQL DB is nice to have.

• Experience in building RESTful APIs using Python and web frameworks such as Spring MVC, Flask
• Experience in working in any of the ORM tools like SQLAlchemy, SQLObject, Storm, Django
• Skillful in writing high-quality, well-tested code
• Proficient in Object-Oriented programming
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban
• Experience in working with JavaScript frameworks (such as ag-Grid, D3) to build in-app reports is nice to have

• Key competencies required: Problem-Solving, Analytical, Collaboration, and Accountability
• An influencer by always advocating for technical excellence and innovation while being open to change when needed

• Resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives
• Advantage if has a working knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Azure
• Efficiently utilize DevOps tools and practices to build and deploy software
• Have knowledge of Test Driven Development

Zobaze is an early-stage startup, based out of THUB, Hyderabad.

Experienced developers who can develop Mobile Applications using Flutter.

Work closely with founders on building product.

Requirements -

Strong Knowledge of Javascript

Experience in building PWA with Angular or similar

Should have an idea on Google Cloud Functions or Amazon Lamda

Good Experience in Node JS

Product mindset, ability to take product manager hat if required in the future.
