Position Overview:

As an Android Developer, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on developing, testing, and maintaining Android applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in transforming ideas into functional and user-friendly applications that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

● Participate in the entire application development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

● Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.

● Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.

● Assist in maintaining code repositories and version control using tools like Git.

● Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration of design elements and optimal user experience.

Qualifications:

●     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

●     Strong passion for mobile app development and a genuine interest in the Android platform.

●     Solid understanding of Java and/or Kotlin programming languages.

●     Basic knowledge of Android application architecture and components (Activities, Fragments, Services, etc.).

●     Familiarity with development tools and frameworks such as Android Studio and Gradle.

●     Adept problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

●     Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

●     Prior experience with personal or academic Android projects is a plus.

●     Knowledge of UI/UX principles and design patterns is a bonus.

Key job responsibilities-

• Work on features with end-to-end ownership of design, development, testing and take it to production.
• Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and release products.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

Qualifications-

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Android Development
• Strong experience in Kotlin.
• Good understanding on using networking libraries like Volley, Retrofit, OKHttp and jetpack libraries
• Strong knowledge of computer science, algorithms, data structures and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Android’s debugging, unit testing, app security, and performance optimization tools.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Proficiency at object-oriented programming and multi-threading
• Experience with data storage using SQLite, Room
• Experience in creating custom components
• Familiarity with Git and Continuous Integration

• 4+ years of overall work experience, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Android development

Job Description Responsibilities:

• Design and build mobile applications using React Native

• Build native component for iOS (Native experience would be plus) or Android

• Collaborate closely with the Team lead to understanding the requirement and implementation details.

• integration with third-party APIs.

Required Skills:

• 2yrs experience in React-Native based app development is a must.

• Must have published at least 1 major React-Native app

• Knows how to embed React-Native in a native(iOS/Android) component and vice versa

• Strong focus on app performance.

• Apply knowledge of Javascript (ES6) including all the latest features
• Usage of third party libraries for Maps, UI scaling, Styles, Secure storage, Permissions, Navigation, Splash screen, Network. Analytics. Push notifications, Localization, Calendar, etc.
• Build and run apps using Xcode, and Android Studio
• Persistence support using frameworks like Realm
• Comprehend performance issues and solve them
• Knowledge of Git (including merging, branching and resolving merge conflicts)

• Ability to create flexbox driven UI layout
• Configuring ESLint for JS code linting
• Being aware of alternate state management mechanisms like MobX
• Is proficient in either iOS or Android programming too.

• Knowledge of all aspects of React framework
• Components, containers, JSX specification of component UI layout, Component lifecycle
• Props and State mechanism used for data flow
• Various kinds of views (text, button, scroll view, flat list, etc.)

Android

• Strong understanding of the OOPS concept.
• Working experience in Java and Kotlin language. (Must)
• Knowledge of Offline Sync, Multithreading, Realm/Room/SQLLite databases, Live data, Socket Programming. (Must)
• Familiar with Android Jetpack components (Must)
• Idea/Experience of MVC/MVVM and MVP
• At least 1 live application on Playstore. (Must)
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to have

• Idea/experience in RxJava, RxKotlin
• Idea/experience of unit and instrumentation testing in Android
• Knowledge of Web RTC.
• Experience with tools like Git, Jira, Basecamp, BitBucket, Azure DevOps would be an advantage.
• Good to have experience working with IOT projects, Bluetooth technologies
• Active Open Source, GitHub or Stack Overflow contribution will be a big plus
• Having personal apps in play store will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends & emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for our native Android and iOS mobile apps.
• Be flexible and knowledgeable so that you can switch between the two platforms as and when needed.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UI designers, and other technical development resources

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited college or university
• You have at least 5 years of experience in developing native mobile applications with Java and/or Kotlin (for Android) and Objective-C and/or Swift (iOS) while working within a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK as well as iOS SDK – app lifecycle, UI using XML layouts (Android) and constraints and dynamic sizing (iOS) as well as data management and caching
• Knowledge of build systems in Android using Gradle. Knowledge of cocoapods and other tools for iOS build systems
• Knowledge of change management systems such as Git
• Knowledge of Reactive programming
• You’re familiar with mobile product and design lifecycle, and collaborating closely with designers and product managers
• You have experience building and shipping mobile apps to a large user base.
• You write high quality code with unit and automated tests.
• You’re comfortable with identifying and fixing performance bottlenecks.
• Experience integrating backend REST API’s.
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM and Unit Testing, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development
• Strong understanding of object oriented design principles

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge scripting tools and build tools.
