Senior Android Developer

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and image processing to join our growing team. You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining mobile applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop advanced Android applications using Kotlin.
• Implement image processing features (filters, compression, enhancement, etc.)
• Optimize app performance, memory usage, and responsiveness.
• Integrate ad SDKs and optimize monetization strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, backend)
• Ensure code quality through testing, debugging, and best practices.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Android development using Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with image processing libraries / techniques.
• Good understanding of Android SDK, UI/UX principles, and app lifecycle.
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with ad networks (AdMob, Facebook Audience Network, etc.)
• Knowledge of performance optimization and memory management.

Good to Have:

• Experience working on high-scale or globally distributed apps.
• Understanding of analytics tools and A/B testing.
• Exposure to Jetpack Compose is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Android Engineer at Digio your responsibilities will be:

• Drive Digio SDKs, Libraries, App development in Java, Kotlin and Flutter.
• Take care of performance and security Android level.
• Keep it crash free, modular, perfectly memory managed for mass level usage.
• Usage of Java based REST APIs and backend level developments.
• Drive Android level development as well around available AI, ML and Vision Android libraries.

Requirements:

• Education: B.Tech. (CS/IT) / B.Sc. (CS) / M.Tech. / MCA.
• Experience suitable to above mentioned requirements around Android. IOS experience is plus.
• Experience in creating Android Apps from scratch.
• Experience with Kotlin, Flutter. Experience with Dagger. 
• Experience in dealing with WebViews - Javascript and Native android communications.
• Good low level and High level software design and architecture skills, experience of working with distributed environments.
• Have good understanding on Android and IOS internals and memory management.
• Fast learning abilities.
• 3-5 years of experience and at least 2 years working with product company.

 Proven working experience of minimum 3+ Years in Android app development (Min 2Yrs. experience in Kotlin)

- Have strong knowledge in Kotlin and Java.

- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.

- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Experience with building scalable applications using Flutter on android or IOS. (we are happy to meet you even if you do not know flutter but are willing to learn)
• Strong knowledge of Architectural pattern like Bloc, Provider etc in Flutter. Knowledge of writing Plugins in Flutter is a good to have skill
• Ability to think about scalability and reusability while developing flutter widgets.
• Experience in working with Dart.
• Knowledge of unit & integration testing, agile development process, jira & API integration will be extremely useful
• Strong UI building skills and the ability to handle updates in UI with high frequency data changes.
• Experience with version control systems (bitbucket, git etc.)
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Should have demonstrated experience working on application development projects and test-driven development. Experience in writing high quality code
• Strong state management knowledge
• Experience in Fintech domain will be another added advantage

We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of the Vyapar android application. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications. A strong understanding of Core Java and Database is critical for the role.
