Design, develop and support real time data monitoring application and a dashboard for a VoIP network

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems

Required Skills:

• 3+ yrs of experience developing Ruby applications on Linux platform with exposure to HTML, CSS and javascripts
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Experience with any one NoSQL solution like Redis, MongoDB, CouchDB is a must
• Deep understanding of high traffic, highly scalable, complex web applications
• Ability to work in a dev-automation environment with some source control, continuous integration/delivery systems
• Good problem solving/analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred Skills:

• Conversant with Elasticsearch, Neo4j and D3.js
• Inclination to GO programming
• Experience working with open source projects

You will work with a project manager, software development engineers, user experience and interface designers, quality assurance engineers and customer stakeholders to deliver high quality, scalable and maintainable software solutions. Responsibilities Contribute to a team of software engineers and QA engineers to deliver commitments on time with a positive attitude. Work with project architect to ensure that patterns for scalability, maintainability and performance are developed. Follow the process for software development, testing and deployment. Ensure that assigned user stories (requirements) have sufficient detail to be implemented properly. Ensure that you have sufficient understanding of user stories to provide reliable estimates. Work with the project manager as needed to build requirements and understanding of software features. Perform peer code reviews to ensure that code standards and proper architectural patterns are followed. Attend daily meetings status meeting with the team. Make suggestions regarding improvements to the software. Be an expert in the technology stack of the software project. Required Qualifications 4+ years experience in:- Developing web applications using Ruby on Rails Performing peer code reviews. Unit testing Git and merge conflict resolution. JavaScript and frameworks like Angular/ React or similar, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS Ajax, Restful APIs and JSON SQL Scalable Architectural Patterns API Integrations Robust Web Security Desired Qualifications Experience with:- DevOps Implementation of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes. Experience with continuous integration(Jenkins, CircleCI), continuous delivery and enterprise DevOps concepts. microservice architecture Logging, monitoring, and alerting tools Experience with React and Flux MongoDB or other No-SQL data storage Caching Technologies Cloud Platforms (Azure, Amazon or Heroku) Postman Experience working with offshore and nearshore development teams.

• Deep understanding of one or more of Java/Go/Scala/C++. Ability to understand and critique
the core library/language constructs.
• Knowledge of processor, memory, network and storage internals. Familiarity with I/O optimized
algorithms.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems including fault modeling, concurrency, isolation,
consensus etc.
• Internals of a RDBMS like MySQL
• Conversant with the internals of systems like Kafka, Cassandra/Scylla, Redis, RocksDB etc
• Working knowledge of hosting and network infrastructure (K8s, Envoy, etc)
• Familiarity with binary serialization protocols like thrift/protobuf/flatbuffers etc
• Familiar with gRPC, HTTP/2, QUIC, etc.
• Troubleshooting memory issues, GC tuning, resource leaks etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills, algorithmic skills and data structures.
• Productionizing machine learning pipelines using Spark/Flink/TensorFlow etc
• Familiarity with big data concepts - HDFS, hive, presto, spark, oozie, ambari, airflow, atlas,
ranger, etc. Familiarity with formats like avro, parquet, orc, arrow etc
• Good understanding of branching, build, deployment, continuous integration methodologies
• Experience in leading a team and mentoring engineers
• Attitude to get Stuff Done!
• Ability to make decisions independently.
Desired Background:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from premier institutes preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software design, development & architecture
