Role Overview

As we plan to grow, we have many challenges to solve. Some of the new features and products that are already in the pipeline include advanced analytics, search, reporting, etc., to name a few. Our present backend is based on the microservices architecture built using Spring Boot. With growing complexity, we are open to using other tools and technologies as needed. We are looking for a talented and motivated engineer to join our fleet and help us solve real-world problems in this exciting field. What you'll do:

• Design and architect our core components
• End-to-end systems development
• Ownership of complete systems from development to production and maintenance
• Infrastructure management on AWS

Technologies you'll use:

• Microservices, AWS, Java, Spring-boot
• Gradle / Maven
• ElasticSearch
• Jenkins, CI/CD
• Containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• RDBMS (PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB) & Enterprise Messaging Applications (Kafka/SQS)
• JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, etc.
• Nginx
• Any cool piece of technology that you can bring onboard

What you are:

• You love technology and are always open to learning new tools
• You are proficient with server technologies: Spring / Spring Boot
• You have good experience in scaling, performance tuning & optimization at both API and storage layers
• You have an excellent grasp of OOPS concepts, data structures, algorithms, design patterns & REST APIs
• You are proficient in Java, SQL
• You have good knowledge of Databases: RDBMS/Document
• You have a good understanding of REST API design
• You have knowledge of DevOps
• Implement Coding Best Practices. Implement Code Quality gates as per the program norms
• Knowledge of Angular 2+ is a big plus

Responsibilities:

• Determines technical feasibility of features or solutions by evaluating problem, customer requirements, possible solutions and technology requirements.
• Exercises judgement in prioritizing tasks and selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Create low-level design of modules of a software application through proper documentation and
• diagrams.
• Develops software solutions by studying requirements, clarifying customer/user needs, analysing data
• and processes and following established software development practices and processes.
• Develops proof of concepts for technical evaluation and early customer feedback
• Updates and shares knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming
• techniques, and computing technology; reading professional publications
• Networks with internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
• Skills:
• Good command in JavaScript/TypeScript. Knowledge of Java/Python will be a plus.
• Experience in Debugging/troubleshooting TypeScript code.
• Experience in API development (REST/GraphQL etc)
• Experience in development of Web and Mobile(android/iOS) applications
• Exposure of Parallel and Asynchronous programming
• Experience in writing Unit tests (Jest or any similar framework)
• Should be proficient in relational Database concepts (Postgres etc.)
• Knowledge of Non-relational Databases would be a plus.
• Good Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Concepts.
• Good Understanding of Design Patterns.
• Good command of Data structures, Algorithms and Complexity.
• Good at problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Source Code Versioning systems (Git etc)
• Understanding of Micro services Architecture would be a plus 

Key Responsibilities:

• Development of a Single Page Application (SPA) and it's components in Typescript: deployed and optimized for progressive mobile and browsers using Angular 2 and Ionic 2 frameworks.
• Creating custom, general use modules and smart components which extend the elements and modules of core Angular framework.
• Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components in Typescript and using responsive HTML and CSS.
• Architecting and automating the build process for production, using task runners or scripts.
• Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed

Skills and Qualifications:

• Should have experience with CSS 3, SCSS, Java script and HTML5.
• Full-time knowledge of Angular practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience. Or 2 Year or more experience with other industry-leading frameworks like React.
• Minimum 1-year experience in working and extending one of the CSS or UI frameworks like Ng-lightening, Angular-material
