NodeJS Developer

Job brief 

We are looking for a qualified Database developer to design stable and reliable databases, according to our company’s needs. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively.

As part of our IT team, you will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency. You will also collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements. Communication and organization skills are keys for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our database systems run effectively and securely on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Design stable, reliable and effective databases
• Optimize and maintain legacy systems
• Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
• Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
• Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
• Gather user requirements and identify new features
• Develop technical and training manuals
• Provide data management support to users
• Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
• Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Database developer (5+ Years)
• In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
• Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
• Advanced proficiency and hands on experience with T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Cursors, Triggers, Schedulers etc.
• Familiarity working with MS SQL Server, MySQL, .Net Framework, java
• Excellent analytical and organization skills
• An ability to understand front-end users’ requirements and a problem-solving attitude
• Ability to craft detailed technical manuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BE/MCA/MSc Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.

Requirement:

1. Node Js min 2 yrs exp.
2. Database - MONGO, SQL, etc. min 2yrs experience with these.

3. Caching - REDIS, MEMCACHED etc

4. Message Queues - RABBIT MQ, Kafka, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Determines technical feasibility of features or solutions by evaluating problem, customer requirements, possible solutions and technology requirements.
• Exercises judgement in prioritizing tasks and selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Create low-level design of modules of a software application through proper documentation and
• diagrams.
• Develops software solutions by studying requirements, clarifying customer/user needs, analysing data
• and processes and following established software development practices and processes.
• Develops proof of concepts for technical evaluation and early customer feedback
• Updates and shares knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming
• techniques, and computing technology; reading professional publications
• Networks with internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
• Skills:
• Good command in JavaScript/TypeScript. Knowledge of Java/Python will be a plus.
• Experience in Debugging/troubleshooting TypeScript code.
• Experience in API development (REST/GraphQL etc)
• Experience in development of Web and Mobile(android/iOS) applications
• Exposure of Parallel and Asynchronous programming
• Experience in writing Unit tests (Jest or any similar framework)
• Should be proficient in relational Database concepts (Postgres etc.)
• Knowledge of Non-relational Databases would be a plus.
• Good Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Concepts.
• Good Understanding of Design Patterns.
• Good command of Data structures, Algorithms and Complexity.
• Good at problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Source Code Versioning systems (Git etc)
• Understanding of Micro services Architecture would be a plus 

Responsibilities for NodeJS Dev

Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic.

Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.

Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.

Implementation of security and data protection.

Integration of data storage solutions redis, mongodb.

Skill Requirement:

Strong proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript.

Strong Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it such as Express, StrongLoop.

Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.

Good understanding of server-side templating languages.

Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors such as Stylus, Less.

Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3.

Understanding accessibility and security compliance.

User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.

Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.

Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.

Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform.

Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.

Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
