NodeJS Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Node.js, AWS, and MongoDB, and a strong pro-activeness and ownership mindset.

Technical Expertise:

• Architect, design, and develop scalable and efficient backend services using Node.js (Nest.js).
• Design and manage cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, including EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, and other services.
• Work with MongoDB to design, implement, and maintain high-performance database solutions.
• Leverage Kafka, Docker and serverless technologies like SST to streamline deployments and infrastructure management.
• Optimize application performance and scalability across the stack.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are met across all development and deployment processes.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with other backend languages like Python and worked on Agentic AI
• Security knowledge and best practices.

What you'll do:

· Perform complex application programming activities with an emphasis on mobile development: Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, RESTful APIs and related backend frameworks

· Assist in the definition of system architecture and detailed solution design that are scalable and extensible

· Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other engineers on different permutations to find the best solution possible

· Own the quality of code and do your own testing. Write unit test and improve test coverage.

· Deliver amazing solutions to production that knock everyone’s socks off

· Mentor junior developers on the team

• Minimum 4 years’ experience developing Node.js applications on top of RESTful APIs.
• Experience building single page applications using JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React)
• Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform and design constraints on the web.
• Experience with test automation: TDD, unit/integration/functional testing.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts.
• Have a passion for quality and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well.

RequiredSkills:

• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data modeling (including conceptual, logical and physical data models. • 2-3 years of experience inExtraction, Transformation and Loading ETLwork using data migration tools like Talend, Informatica, Datastage, etc. • 4-6 years of experience as a database developerinOracle, MS SQLor another enterprise database with a focus on building data integration process • Candidate should haveanyNoSqltechnology exposure preferably MongoDB. • Experience in processing large data volumes indicated by experience with BigDataplatforms (Teradata, Netezza, Vertica or Cloudera, Hortonworks, SAP HANA, Cassandra, etc.). • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and decision support systems.

• Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential material and adhere to worldwide data security and • Experience writing documentation for design and feature requirements. • Experience developing data-intensive applications on cloud-based architectures and infrastructures such as AWS, Azure etc. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:
● Node.js Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users.
● Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
● You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
● Strong proficiency with JavaScript
● Knowledge of Node.js core and frameworks Express, StrongLoop, koa, hapi etc
● Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
● Good understanding of server-side templating languages
● Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors
