Key Responsibilities :

Backend Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for server-side applications.

API Design & Integration: Build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support various front-end and mobile applications.

Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain robust databases, ensuring data integrity and security.

Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of functionalities.

Debugging & Troubleshooting: Identify and fix bugs, bottlenecks, and system issues.

Security: Implement best practices for securing backend systems and data.

Documentation: Prepare technical documentation and reports for system and code processes.

Qualifications :

- Proficient in solving Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) problems.

- Demonstrated experience with platforms like LeetCode or similar competitive programming environments.

- Strong aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and approach challenges creatively.

- A sharp analytical mindset with a proven ability to learn and adapt quickly.

- Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, Java, PHP, or others.

- Experience with frameworks like Django, Express, Flask, Spring Boot, etc.

Overview: As a Backend Developer at Glazer Labs, you will be at the heart of our technical team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our engagement platform for the gaming community. Your expertise will ensure the seamless integration of front-end elements, robust performance, and high scalability, contributing to a world-class user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server-Side Development: Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable and efficient server-side architecture using Node.js and Express.js. Database Management: Develop and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance using MongoDB or other relevant databases. API Development: Create and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support various frontend functionalities and third-party integrations.
• Performance Optimization: Scalability: Design and implement solutions to ensure the application can scale efficiently to handle increasing user loads. Load Balancing: Utilise load balancing techniques and tools to distribute traffic effectively across multiple servers. Caching: Implement caching strategies using Redis, Memcached, or similar technologies to enhance application performance and reduce latency.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB. Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance server-side architectures.

Technical Skills:

Node.js/Express.js / GraphQL Expertise: Strong proficiency in Node.js, GraphQL and Express.js, including asynchronous programming and middleware.

Database Management: In-depth knowledge of MongoDB and experience with other databases (SQL or NoSQL).

API Development: Experience in designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

We are looking for a Backend Developer who has hands-on experience in coding, building technology blocks, help answer choice of certain platform/tech over others, help the team visualise the product with the available resources and assets. 

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and test functionality for the latest app design.
• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features.
• Take requirements and specs from design to development and be the first line of quality assurance.
• Understand user requirements—these apps have to meet real-world scenarios.
• Support the Supersub Mobile application in its entirety, including working on bug fixes and improving application performance, reliability and stability.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.

What you bring:

• 3+ years of experience in building Java, Node JS applications. 
• Experience in Building Robust REST APIs Using MEAN or MERN Stack. 
• Good programming skills, with the ability to Perform UI testing, Debugging Taking the ownership of the complete lifecycle of a product. 
• Solid experience with Unit Testing. 
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment) 
• Experience with deploying the code in AWS or AZURE is a plus. 
• Ability to write clean code and document the same to develop functional APIs and Admin Panel. 

Proven work experience in building a product is a plus. And the candidate must have an Engineering CS background.
