This was only possible with a complete rethink of traditional mechanisms of education delivery. 1-to-1 tuition is rare and expensive. Even when available, it's effectiveness depends on the experience and teaching skills of the tutor. It is impossible for human teachers or question banks to cater to the different learning needs of each and every student.
For a student, Cerebry's artificial intelligence (AI) technology feels just like a personal tutor. The AI tutor generates a unique question for the user to solve which is not repeated for any other student and which is based on the student's specific level of understanding. The AI tutor is also able to provide hints and step-by-step solutions for each generated question. Based on the student's answer, the AI is able to modify the difficulty of the next question, ask a question which involves multiple topics to challenge the student in a new setting, break down the question into it's constituent steps, etc.. Since the questions are created by the AI, the AI can detect if a student need a refresher on a concept based on his answers and present explanatory videos. The student might start practicing one topic, but if he struggles to solve problems because of a lack of understanding in another topic, the AI will take the student there.
