Our growing software technology business is looking for a Mid Level Full Stack Developer to join our Development Team. We're looking for a talented, team-oriented, highly motivated, smart individual with a passion for software engineering, a strong desire to learn and an interest in providing mentorship to peers. The successful candidate for this role must be an outstanding problem-solver with a great database and software architectural skills.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
We have an immediate need for a highly motivated Mid Level Node Software Developer to provide software development expertise and hands-on implementation using the latest open source server-side JavaScript technologies on the Node platform and other related open source products.
REQUIRED
• Strong software development experience with Node.js in addition to detailed understanding of user interface frameworks, back-end software architecture interactions and node module capabilities.
• One or more years' experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks/technologies such as Express.js, Angular.js, React.js, MobX or Flux.js.
• Strong development experience using Node.js.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Portfolio of application(s)
DESIRED SKILLS
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with source code versioning and Pull Requests with Git repositories.
• Standards & Protocols knowledge including JSON.

• Experience in other languages such as .net, including VB and C# are a plus

EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with minimum 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive, design, build and deliver end-to-end solutions using Agile and User Centered Design processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive experience and deep understanding in Java 8, including multithreading, data-structures and algorithms.
• Strong understanding of distributed architecture concepts, Design patterns, SOLID principles, 

SOA, Microservices, Cloud hosting solutions (preferably AWS).

• Good experience in developing REST API and Json, in Java backend applications.
• Hands on experience with SQL, NoSQL concepts.
• Test driven development, including unit test cases using any test framework (JUnit, spring-test, MockMvc), and end-to end testing.
• Excellence in writing and maintaining clear end-user documentation including API specifications, patterns, best practices, and data definitions, including Swagger.
• Good knowledge of GIT.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and build automation tools like Jenkins pipelines for Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Delivery (CD), maven/Gradle
• Experience with Agile software development (e.g., SCRUM or KANBAN) and/ or User Centered design process.
• Experience in working with Angular 6+/ReactJS 16+ & Redux, JSP, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and Javascript will be a plus.

 Must have 8 to 10 years of experience in the software industry.
 Must have worked as an Architect / Tech Lead / Team Lead or Project Lead with a team size of 6
or more developers for at least 2 - 3 years.

Responsibilities
 Partner with the organization to understand organization and departmental strategy and agree
information systems solutions to meet needs.
 Investigate information systems that might benefit Naico.
 Lead in designing, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering
functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
 Develop and maintain a model of Naico’s current and future Application Architecture.

 Develop and maintain a model of Naico’s current and future web architecture and design a
structure that is stable and robust.
 Lead the organization in exploiting technology and use knowledge of IT solutions to drive
organizational change and support business process design.
 Understand and support to software architecture design and support development team in
developing solutions.
 Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses,
development and support.
 Work with the Project Managers and Business Analysts to develop high level project schedule
resource plans for implementation projects.
 Supervise Business Analyst in the capture and analysis of requirements.

Educational qualification: Bachelors Degree / Masters in relevant stream.
Experience: 8 - 15 years.

• Being a key player in this client’s Digital Transformation – both implementing changes to existing APIs and developing new ones to integrate with the latest digital stack.
• Developing new and be-spoke features as well as working on large scale integrations 
• Working in an Agile Scrum environment where you will be challenged and motivated 
• Calling out risks if you spot them in a particular approach or design.

 

Qualifications

Skills Required:

• Technical design experience.
• Hands on Java development experience, in particular with Spring (minimum of 4 years)
• Knowledge of JavaScript and NodeJS is highly desirable
• You will have worked in an Agile Scrum environment and be comfortable with fast-paced Sprint Cycles
• Previous experience building web service API’s is key for this role – Apigee is the preferred technology
• Any experience with Microsoft Azure is a nice to have – this is the direction we are going
