• 5+ years of experience, working on frontend technologies

We are looking for a Product Engineer - Frontend Engineer to join our early stage startup with experience in building B2C products. 

If you have experience of working in product based companies (preferably startups), good to excellent coding skills in react js and typescript, have a keen eye for details in the UI, and are looking to build exciting things that children across the world will use - come talk to us!

Who are we looking for:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
• 1+ years' experience in frontend development

• Experience building object oriented web applications in React JS, Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Should be a quick learner and willing to go the extra mile in delivering the projects.
• Should be able to mentor junior folks whenever necessary.

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills And Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Good understanding of ReactJS, Native
• Basic understanding of Django REST framework
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as (Git / Mercurial / SVN)
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.

Skills:

Expertise in Front-end development taking into account response times, and optimize rendering

Extremely strong analytical skills

Good Design Skills would be great

Culture:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Happy to deal with, and contribute to, an environment of daily builds

Role:

As an Android Developer who would work independently, the candidate is expected to actively acquire problems and deliver solutions. He/she would be required to produce software of the highest quality through self-discipline, clear and engaged communication, and attention to detail. The role would include custom web application development on (most typically on React.js, Angular), version control (github), testing (necessarily through test scripts written before code is written), daily builds and eventual deployment.

Interest and background in visual design (interaction design, information graphics, data visualization) is desired and valued but not strictly required
