Frontend Development Intern

Role Overview:

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Sr React Native Developer to spearhead the creation of a cross-platform mobile app aimed at senior healthcare. This person will be responsible for developing a cross-platform mobile app from scratch. This role also encompasses the management of compliance and approval processes with the Android Play Store and iOS App Store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Styling and Layout: Apply expert knowledge in styling and layout techniques to create intuitive and accessible UIs tailored for seniors.
• Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate with UX designers, BA, Architect, and backend development teams to ensure smooth API integration and cohesive design.
• Store Compliance and Approval:
• Oversee compliance with Android Play Store and iOS App Store guidelines.
• Handle the app submission process, resolving any issues to secure approval.
• Security and Privacy: Implement stringent data security and privacy protocols, particularly for handling PII.

• Technical Skills:Expertise in React Native principles (such as JSX, components, state, and props) is a must
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6 and newer features, is crucial.
• Experience in building chat-focused applications.
• Experience in integrating with mobility solutions
• Deep understanding of performance considerations specific to mobile applications, like memory optimization and efficient data fetching.
• Must have a detailed understanding of the nuances and differences between platforms (iOS and Android)
• Experience in implementing state management solutions (like Redux or Context API) is a must.
• Experience in leveraging Azure Cloud Services
• Experience with Jira, Github, and Azure DevOps Services
• App Store Knowledge:Must have lead development of at least 2 cross-platform mobile apps from scratch
• Privacy and Security:
• Should be familiar with data privacy laws and secure coding practices including processing PII data.
• Leadership:Previous experience in leading development teams.

It is an app platform (Android & iOS) that offers discovery, trials and purchase of lifestyle brands across multiple categories like beauty and grooming, food and beverages, health and wellness, fragrances, smart technology, accessories, services and experiences and is targeted towards the upper middle class.

What shall be expected of you:

● Be responsible for the core UI framework, and implement and maintain it.

● Responsible for the development of the front-end applications and

components.

● Coordinate with the backend engineers & designers for requirement

gathering of the product.

● Responsible for quality assurance including web usability, accessibility,

testing and debugging.

● Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

You must have:

● 2-5 years of prior hands-on experience in building responsive web

interfaces for consumers.

● Strong development experience in the following technologies (HTML,

CSS, Javascript, AJAX, working with REST APIs)

● Front-end frameworks/libraries such as ReactJS, and Redux.

● Ability to translate product requirements into functional code.

● Ability to estimate the scope of work for sprint planning.

● Self-motivation and ability to work in a small team with minimal

supervision.

Would be awesome if you are also good at:

● SEO and page speed optimization.

● Web standards, Responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility,

Accessibility.

● Additional web technologies like Angular, Vue JS, Next JS etc.

Experience - 3-5 years

Required Skills:

• Should be able to do code review and deployments.
• Should have experience in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles along with React-hooks, CSS3, and HTML5.
• Experience with popular React.js workflows ( Redux - Saga )
• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript 6
• Experience with data Structures libraries ( e.g., Immutable.js )
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization

• UI frameworks like Material UI and Kendo UI

Hands-on experience in React.js  and Good understanding of core concepts

Hands-on experience in state management libraries like Redux.

Hands-on experience in HTML5 & CSS3 and JavaScript.

Proficient with ES6/7/8 syntax and concepts

Proficient knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues

1. Experience in Website Development.

2. To create web pages through HTML and CSS in alignment with PSD design and themify them. In other words, combine interface design concepts with digital design.

3. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe creative suite. And should be proficient enough in designing the UI of websites with great user experience.

4. Ability to translate business requirements into system design and perform as per the needs.Capable enough to analyze the user’s choice over graphics and animation needs.

5. Conduct testing of completed applications to assess user experience.

6. Use coding to develop the aesthetics implemented within a website, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colours and fonts.

7. Ensuring all interactions are intuitive and convenient for the audience.

8. Collaborate with back-end web developers and programmers to improve usability.

9. Ensure that the website is optimized for various devices.

10. Coordinate with the testing team and work closely with them and implement the changes as asked by them.

11. The candidate must be ready to take responsibility, ownership of code, be independent, and at the same time is open to learning something new.

12. Basic knowledge of PHP.
