Frontend Developer

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar.
• Previous work experience as an AngularJS developer.
• Proficient in CSS, HTML, and writing cross-browser compatible code.
• Experience using JavaScript building tools like Gulp or Grunt.
• Knowledge of JavaScript MV-VM/MVC frameworks including AngluarJS.
• Technical lead skills. Can handle a team or independent technical delivery
• Proven experience implementing front-end and back-end JavaScript applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinker and good problem-solver.

• Participate heavily in the brainstorming of UI/UX architecture and feature design
• Interface with external customers and key stakeholders to understand and document design requirements
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, Product, UX, BD, and Infrastructure teams
• Drive best coding practices across the company (i.e. documentation, code reviews, coding standards, etc)
• Perform security, legal, and license reviews of committed code
• Complete projects with little or no supervision from senior leadership

• Must have at least 2+ years experience in front-end web development with the following tools: HTML5, CSS, Webpack, Responsive web design, ReactJS (Components, Router, Redux, Flux, Chart Libraries i.e. Google Charts), Node.js, REST APIs, and other essential features)
• Built and deployed customer-facing services and products at scale
• Developed unit and integration tests
• Solid instruction-level understanding of Object Oriented design, data structures, and software engineering principles

• You have a strong background in natural language processing, statistical modeling, and/or machine learning
• Experience with open source projects in a startup environment
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems that have thousands of microservices and manages millions of transactions per day
• Worked on products where experimentation and data science are core to the development
• Experience with Python and API frameworks (Flask)
• BS, MS or equivalent

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Detailed technical analysis and specifications;

• Technical artifacts for new releases and automated tests as appropriate;

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master degree;

• +5 years of professional experience in software development;

• +3 years of hands-on Java or Node.js/Typescript development experience;

• Knowledge of JSF, Angular or Wicket;

• Knowledge of Docker, Solr/Elastic and/or Amazon Web Services (lambda, dynamodb, IAC, cognito, SNS, SQS, step-functions, cloud watch, log group, https codes used in REST api) is an advantage;

• Fluent in English

• Hands-on design and coding are mandatory.
• Design and develop new features and functionality for a consumer e-commerce product with rich UI content.
• 5+ years of experience in building single-page applications using modern JS frameworks.
• Expertise in React JS, ES6, HTML5, SCSS, and related technologies.
• Experience building front-end for products from scratch.
• Experience in building REST API, preferably using .Net Web API.
• Should have good experience with application design, implementation, maintenance, diagnosing/correcting issues, and maintaining compliance with industry security standards under minimal direction.
• Research and evaluate new software, frameworks, and techniques to provide recommendations to the division.
• Implement defect free quality code by writing appropriate unit-tests and regression tests.
• Should possess excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technical field.

• Work on large-scale, custom distributed software systems using JavaScript,
• Node (ReactJS, VueJs) and the likes

• 3 + years of Hands-on development and delivery experience with JavaScript, and frameworks the likes
• HTML, CSS, React Js, Vue Js, Webpack, Grunt, Gulp.
• Testing tools like Jasmine, Jest, Enzyme
• Passion for software engineering and craftsman-like coding prowess
• Great OO skills, including strong design patterns knowledge
• Experience working with Agile, TDD, Lean, and/or Continuous Delivery approaches and best practices, such as Extreme Programming (XP)
