Role Overview:

As an SDE I Front-End Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in the development of the dashboard for our SaaS security platform.

Your primary focus will be on utilising Next.js, React, TypeScript, shadcn/ui (built on Radix UI), Tailwind CSS & TanStack Query to create an intuitive and efficient dashboard that meets the evolving needs of our users.  You will have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals, collaborating to deliver innovative solutions and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in web development. The role requires deep collaboration with the leadership, product, design, back-end and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, product designers, and backend engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into code.
• You will research, design and code. What you create is also what you own.
• Develop consistent and user-friendly web interfaces based on Figma designs, using Next.js, React and shadcn/ui
• Utilize TypeScript for type safety and enhanced development workflows, ensuring code quality and reliability.
• Implement designs using shadcn/ui design kit (built on Radix UI) for consistent and modern UI components + utilize Tailwind CSS to style components and ensure a cohesive visual experience across the dashboard.
• Integrate Tanstack Query & Jotai for efficient data fetching and state management.
• Optimize web performance and ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices, security and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues pre/post production, ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on users. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Ensuring timely delivery of the features/products
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the development process when appropriate.

Requirements

• 3+ year of work experience with Next.js (preferred) or React
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong proficiency in Next.js and React, with demonstrable experience building web applications.
• Experience working with design systems and UI libraries, preferably shadcn/ui (built on Radix UI).
• Proficiency in CSS, particularly with Tailwind CSS, for styling and layout.
• Familiarity with state management libraries such as Tanstack Query(React Query)/Jotai.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of basic UX principles and what makes a great user experience
• Solid understanding of web development concepts such as HTML, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

**TL;DR:** Seeking an experienced Front-end Developer proficient in React and Next.js to build user-friendly interfaces for Proof of Skill, a blockchain-based protocol for skill verification and credentialing.

Proof of Skill protocol is a decentralized system where industry experts (Validators) evaluate candidates' skills and issue verifiable Skill Credentials. Organizations can then shortlist candidates based on these credentials.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

5+ years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React and Next.js

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related front-end technologies

Solid understanding of React ecosystem, including Redux, React Router, and React Hooks

Experience with Next.js and its server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) capabilities

Familiarity with modern front-end build tools and workflows (e.g., Webpack, Babel, ESLint)

Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with back-end services

Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices

**Responsibilities:**

Design and develop user-friendly interfaces for the Proof of Skill platform using React and Next.js

Implement reusable and modular front-end components following best practices

Integrate with blockchain-based back-end services and decentralized data sources

Optimize performance, scalability, and security of the front-end applications

Collaborate with the design team to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of UI/UX designs

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards

Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies, frameworks, and industry trends

What are we looking for:

1. We are looking for someone that has an eye for design, solid experience in ReactJS, are value-driven and product-oriented. You will own all phases of user interface development.
2. From architecture and design to implementation and customer engagement. This role isn’t just about coding; it's about owning features end-to-end, translating them from concepts to user-centric products
3. Each engineer owns the feature they are building and is responsible for turning it into reality, and we will need your front-end expertise to find solutions to problems and challenges and deliver on roadmap objectives.
4. 4+ years of experience in web frontend technology, including React, TypeScript, and CSS-in-JS.
5. Significant experience with JavaScript frameworks and client-side state management, particularly React.js and Redux.
6. Knowledge of 2D visualization libraries like D3 and 3D visualization tools such as Three.js and WebGL is a plus.
7. Expertise in developing solutions for complex problems and integrations, with a strong product sense to balance technical and product requirements.
8. Skilled in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design, product, tech, learning experience & marketing.
9. Independent and capable of producing 'production ready' code with minimal guidance.
10. Proficient in performance optimization and CDN caching strategies.
