Front End - Developer

Responsibilities     

• Take product ideas from ideation to implementation.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to create robust and usable features.
• Take ownership of the architecture for best performance and usability.
• Lead engineering discussions to ensure the best practices, maintainability and security of the application.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Lead and mentor the team of developers, to drive business objectives.

We are looking for

• 4+ years of experience building quality applications.
• Proficient in client-side JS frameworks such as React.js
• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas.
• Strong customer focus, ownership, and self-drive.
• Experience in planning, designing architecture and leading teams.

• Work with design and marketing team to improve website conversion rate for different sign up processes
• Work with the marketing team to improve main website KPIs - New users, average time on page, session duration are the main ones
• Write automation scripts to help automate redundant manual processes of other marketing functions– SEO, Outbound, Content, Product Marketing
• Work on our Shopify demo store to showcase new product releases and features. This is pretty interesting as you’ll get to play around with Shopify backend (the most popular eCommerce platform in the world)
• Work on building integrations and workflows between different marketing automation platforms. Our current marketing tech stack involves Salesforce, HubSpot, Reply, Similarweb and more.
• Web scraping for new growth initiatives

About the role as a full stack engineer at Torum, you will be remotely working alongside our core development team from India, Turkey, Malaysia and other regions in the future. A good mindset of forward planning should be cultivated to better your performance!

You will also get involved in constant discussions with our Lead Developer and Operational team members regarding the ideas, concepts as well as feature specifications to further enhance our platform.

Qualifications and Experience location GMT+8 or GMT+5:30

• Ability to work remotely or on-site (if Malaysia)
• More than 2 years of hands-on experience with React JS and Redux
• Ability to communicate (verbally and writing) well with the team in English
• Possess strong logics and understanding to come up with optimum solution in JS programming
• Played an active role in the design and architecture of the solutions
• Experience in creating apps with high priority on user experience
• Passion for best design, developing and coding practices
• Maximizing application performance, uptime, and scalability, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Unit/integration testing experience

We are looking for a skilled React.js Developer to join our front-end development team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing user interface components using React.js concepts and workflows such as Redux, Flux, and Webpack. You will also be responsible for profiling and improving front-end performance and documenting our front-end codebase.
